Swalwell, Gonzales, and the Ever-Shifting Woke Goalposts: How Many Karens Does It Take to Cancel a Man?
In the post-#MeToo Clown World, defining 'unacceptable behavior' is less about justice and more about whatever gets the most Twitter engagement, LOL.
So, Swalwell and Gonzales are in the spotlight again. Shocked, I tell you. SHOCKED. In the glorious post-#MeToo era, where the rules are made up and the points don't matter, we're still trying to figure out what exactly constitutes a career-ending offense. Apparently, it's somewhere between 'being a dude' and 'breathing near a woman without express written consent.' The woke mob giveth, and the woke mob taketh away, amirite?
The burning question, of course, is: how many accusers does it take to make something believable? One? Ten? A chorus line of aggrieved Zoomers all claiming 'emotional distress' because you looked at them funny? The answer, predictably, depends entirely on who you are, who your friends are, and how many blue-checkmarks are willing to amplify the outrage. Actual evidence? Who needs it! It's the court of public opinion, baby, and the judge is wearing a cat-ear headband and has pronouns in her bio.
Back in the olden days (you know, like five years ago), we had this quaint little thing called 'due process.' Innocent until proven guilty, yadda yadda yadda. Now, it's guilty until proven woke. And even then, good luck clearing your name after some rando on TikTok accuses you of micro-aggressing their gluten-free vegan aura. The whole thing is a massive virtue-signaling circus, and the only losers are the poor schmucks who get caught in the crossfire.
Of course, the irony is richer than a trust fund baby's avocado toast. The same people screaming about 'believing all women' are conveniently silent when their own side gets caught with their pants down. Suddenly, it's all about 'context' and 'nuance' and 'personal growth.' It's almost like the whole thing is less about justice and more about tribal warfare, huh? GASP.
The 'experts' are just as useless, predictably. You've got your gender studies professors droning on about 'toxic masculinity' and your DEI consultants demanding mandatory sensitivity training. Meanwhile, the actual problem – the lack of basic human decency and respect – gets completely ignored. It's all just empty gestures and corporate virtue-signaling designed to protect the bottom line, not to actually fix anything.
So, what's the solution? Honestly, I have no freakin' clue. Maybe we should just nuke it all and start over. Or, you know, learn to laugh at the absurdity of it all and just keep stacking sats. Either way, the post-#MeToo world is a dumpster fire of hypocrisy and outrage, and I'm just here for the memes.
Swalwell and Gonzales are just the latest victims of the woke witch hunt. Tomorrow it will be someone else. Will we ever escape the madness? Doubtful. Buckle up, buttercups, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.
