NYC Gets Cooked: New Utility Rules Let the Heat Wave Sort 'Em Out!
State policy screws over NYC, making it easier to cut off power during heat waves. Darwinism, baby!
Alright, snowflakes, gather 'round. Turns out those virtue-signaling geniuses in Albany passed a new statewide policy about utility shutoffs during heat waves. Sounds great, right? Except, SURPRISE! It actually weakens protections for New York City. That's right, the wokest city in America is about to get a whole lot toastier.
See, NYC thought they were special, with their own extra-sensitive rules about not cutting off power when it's hotter than a Wendy's parking lot in July. But now, thanks to the state's 'one size fits all' approach, those rules are getting watered down. So what does this MEAN? Fewer protections, more potential power shutoffs when the thermostat hits DEFCON 1.
This is peak clown world. You got these politicians patting themselves on the back for 'standardizing' things, while simultaneously making life harder for the very people they claim to protect. What a joke. They’re probably lining their pockets with utility company bribes. Or worse, they think being hot builds character.
But hey, maybe this is a good thing. A little natural selection never hurt anyone, right? Those who can afford to keep the AC blasting will survive. The rest? Well, they should have invested in a good fan, stopped ordering avocado toast or learned how to swim.
Of course, the usual suspects are losing their minds. 'Think of the vulnerable!' they scream. 'Equity! Justice!' Blah blah blah. Newsflash: life isn't fair. And sometimes, the best way to solve a problem is to let the market do its thing. Or, you know, just tell people to be more responsible with their money instead of relying on the government to bail them out every time it gets a little warm.
So next time the power goes out during a heat wave, don't come crying to me. You voted for this mess. You embraced the woke agenda. Now you get to reap the consequences. Maybe it'll be a learning experience. Maybe not. But at least it'll be entertaining to watch from my air-conditioned fortress of freedom.
Honestly, this is just another example of the state government interfering where it doesn't belong. Local control? Nope, not anymore. Albany knows best, apparently. And by 'knows best,' I mean 'knows how to screw things up for everyone.'
At least the blackout will give everyone a chance to virtue signal on Twitter. They'll clutch their pearls and shout about how climate change is to blame, while simultaneously demanding more government handouts. It will be glorious.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go crank up the AC and enjoy the show. Maybe I'll even grill some steaks. Because freedom. And because I can. The rest of you? Good luck surviving. You're gonna need it. LOL.
This is why the government sucks. Less power, more stupidity.
This policy just accelerates the inevitable collapse. Embrace the chaos.
