DC Swamp Critters Kick the Can on FISA Extension, Again
Congress avoids real reform, extending surveillance powers for another 45 days while your rights get flushed down the toilet.

Washington D.C. – The Deep State's favorite plaything, FISA Section 702, gets another participation trophy – a 45-day extension courtesy of your 'elected' officials. Yep, Congress dodged actually fixing anything and punted the can down the road again, ensuring the surveillance state gets to keep snooping on you without a warrant. Feels good, doesn't it?
The Senate, in a move shocking to absolutely nobody, rubber-stamped the extension. The House, after some theatrical hand-wringing, followed suit. Trump's probably gonna sign it, because of course he is. Remember when he said he'd drain the swamp? Good times.
The House bill, which included a symbolic middle finger to the globalist cabal by banning central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), got laughed out of the Senate. Because apparently, protecting your financial freedom is less important than keeping the NSA's data hoses flowing. Figures.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune, bless his heart, called the CBDC thing a 'non-starter.' Translation: 'We don't care about your concerns, peasant.' He claims the CBDC issue was already handled in some other bill no one's ever seen. Sure, Jan.
Rep. Keith Self, bless his heart too, whined about the Senate dissing the House. But let's be real, they're all in on it. It's a kabuki dance designed to make you think they're fighting for you. Spoiler alert: they're not.
House Speaker Mike Johnson and his swamp creatures insist FISA is too important to lapse. Important for whom, exactly? Certainly not for you, the guy who pays the bills while they violate his Fourth Amendment rights.
Then there's Sen. Ron Wyden, trying to look like the hero by suggesting a shorter extension. Give me a break. It's all theater. They're all complicit in the slow-motion destruction of your liberty.
Section 702 lets the government spy on foreigners, sure. But guess what? They vacuum up your data too. It's like a fishing net – you catch a few tuna, but you also get a whole lot of garbage. And you're the garbage.
The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) was supposed to protect us from government overreach. Now it's the weapon they use to keep us in line. Thanks, Congress.
So, what's the takeaway? Nothing changes. The surveillance state rolls on. Your rights are still under attack. And Congress is still a bunch of feckless cowards who care more about power than principle. Shocker.
Enjoy the next 45 days. They're watching.
The only real fix is to tear down the whole rotten system and start over. But hey, who am I kidding? We're doomed.
