WWII Airman's Remains Found: Took 'Em Long Enough, But At Least the Boomer Got a Funeral
After 80 years, the Deep State finally coughed up some DNA, giving this WWII vet's family a chance to bury Gramps with a flag and some empty platitudes.

CLEARWATER, Fla. – So, they finally found this WWII airman, Robert Cyr Jr. Crashed his plane back in '44 in some random Pacific island nobody cares about. Took them nearly a century to find his bones. Guess the Deep State was too busy funding wars and grooming kids to bother looking for our guys. But hey, at least his family got a funeral. You know, the kind with the flag-draped coffin and the military guys shooting blanks into the air. All the feels.
Nineteen years old. Enlisted at 17. Probably thought he was fighting for freedom or some other BS. Now his relatives are weeping for the cameras, talking about closure and not giving up hope. Meanwhile, our government is selling us out to China and letting illegals flood the border. But sure, let's all get choked up about some dude who died before color TV was a thing.
Sealark Exploration and Cosmos Archaeology...sound like villains from a bad Bond movie, amirite? These are the clowns they trot out to find some bones and pretend they care. Of course, the DPAA gets involved because you know your tax dollars are being wasted on something. At least they got the DNA right, though, probably used some of that woke science they keep pushing.
Chickee Gould, the niece, says her mom never gave up hope. Bless her heart. That's what they want you to think, that the government never forgets. But they forget about the veterans sleeping on the streets, don't they? They forget about the rising inflation and the collapsing economy. But hey, a funeral is a good distraction.
Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, WWII Victory Medal. All participation trophies at this point. The military is too busy pushing pronouns to fight a real war. But the rosette on the Honolulu memorial is a nice touch, right? Really makes you feel like they actually give a damn.
He flew 112,000 miles spotting enemy positions. That’s what they trained them to do back then. Now they are more worried about pronouns and gender identity. The priorities are totally screwed up. At least they put an end to the search for his remains. It's an ending to a journey for the fallen airman.
I'm sure the military-industrial complex appreciates the PR. Keeps the rubes signing up for more wars. And who knows, maybe they'll even find your bones someday. But don't hold your breath. They got more important things to do. Like building a woke army and losing to goat herders.
