But no, they'll probably use this victory as an excuse to demand more money, more attention, and more virtue-signaling opportunities. It never ends, does it? These people will probably start claiming the win was due to the patriarchy and how they overcame the microaggressions to actually play the sport.

Maybe this victory will spark a renewed interest in women's soccer, but I highly doubt it. People want entertainment, not a lecture. They want competition, not a social justice rally. Until women's sports can deliver that without the side of wokeness, it will always be a niche product.
