Wemby's Goaltending? Rigged League Strikes Again, Says Timberwolves
Minnesota cries foul after Spurs rookie's block party, but is it legit or just another example of the NBA's woke agenda?

MINNEAPOLIS – So, Wembanyama had a 'historic' night, huh? Timberwolves are squealing like stuck pigs because the refs apparently missed a few (or four) goaltending calls. Guess what? Color me shocked. It's the NBA, after all. They're too busy renaming awards after social justice warriors to bother with enforcing the actual rules of basketball.
Chris Finch, the Timberwolves coach, is the latest to point out the obvious. “Historic night. But when we looked at [Wembanyama’s blocks], at least four of them were goaltending,” Finch whined. “To me, it’s a little alarming that none of them were called.” Alarming? Nah, Chris, it's par for the course. Remember that time LeBron traveled for 10 steps and they called it a pass? Good times.
Finch tried to get all analytical, talking about points and percentages. “Here’s a generational shot blocker … and there’s no heightened awareness that these blocks could be goaltends? The third possession of the game is a goaltend. A clear, obvious one. So let’s just say there were four [violations], that’s eight points. You know the value of eight points in an NBA game? It’s massive. That means 33% of his blocks were goaltending uncalled. If I were to give you a 33% raise, you’d like that, right? It’s a huge number.” Okay, buddy, settle down with the algebra. It's basketball, not rocket science. And yeah, 33% is a big number. Especially when it's coming out of my paycheck.
Then there's Terrence Shannon Jr., who got his shot swatted into next week. “He gonna have to block it every time, I ain’t gonna stop going downhill. I told him that when he said a little something,” Shannon said. “He gonna have to block it every time, man. I know he ain’t gonna block it every single time. I’m gonna dunk on him.” Good luck with that, kid. Wemby's got arms like a giraffe on stilts.
Rudy Gobert, the resident Frenchman on the Timberwolves (and Wemby's national teammate), chimed in too. “He fouled me on the first one,” Gobert said. “But if you look at them, probably three or four [goaltends].” Oh, so now the Europeans are sticking together? I thought we were trying to MAGA here.
Seriously though, is anyone actually surprised? The NBA's been going downhill since Jordan retired. Now it's all about flashy dunks, woke commercials, and virtue signaling. They're more concerned with their image than with actually enforcing the rules of the game. Ratings are down, but hey, at least they can pat themselves on the back for being so inclusive.
