Walz, Frey, Ellison: 'Let Him Think He Won' - Minnesota Edition of Immigration Kabuki Theater
Minnesota's Dem trio spill the beans on how they 'resisted' Trump's immigration enforcement, which totally explains those two dead Americans, right?
Minneapolis, MN – So, Walz, Frey, and Ellison – the Holy Trinity of Minnesota Dem virtue signaling – decided to drop some 'truth bombs' about how they heroically resisted Trump's “immigration surge.” Apparently, it involved a lot of hand-wringing, performative outrage, and, oh yeah, two dead Americans. Because #Resistance, amirite?
These guys are patting themselves on the back for…what, exactly? Trying to slow-walk federal law? Tweeting angry things? Holding 'listening sessions' where they nod sympathetically while the cameras roll? If this is what passes for 'resistance' in Minnesota, no wonder Trump almost flipped the state.
The whole 'let him think he won' strategy sounds suspiciously like 'do nothing and hope it goes away.' Which, in fairness, is pretty much the Democrat playbook these days. Except when doing nothing results in actual, real-world consequences, like, say, people dying. Then it's time for a press conference and a good ol' fashioned blame game.
And let's be real, the outrage over this 'crackdown' is selective, at best. Where's the same level of concern when actual criminals – citizen and non-citizen alike – commit heinous acts? Crickets. But dare to enforce existing immigration laws, and suddenly everyone's a bleeding heart.
These geniuses thought they could outsmart the Feds? Bless their hearts. They're playing checkers while ICE is playing 4D chess. And the pawns in their little game? Real people, whose lives are being directly affected by their political posturing.
Of course, no self-respecting CHUD would let this go without pointing out the hypocrisy. Ellison, the darling of the progressive left, is now decrying the very policies his party has been enabling for years. Remember 'Abolish ICE'? Good times.
The real question is: Did their virtue signaling actually help anyone? Or did it just create more chaos and confusion? Spoiler alert: It was the latter. These guys are masters of optics, but when it comes to actual leadership, they're about as effective as a screen door on a submarine.
And those two dead Americans? Conveniently glossed over, of course. Just a minor detail in the grand narrative of 'Trump bad.' Never mind the fact that their deaths might have been prevented with a more rational, consistent approach to immigration enforcement. But hey, gotta protect that 'sanctuary city' status, right?
