Virginia Dems Try to Rig the Game: Redistricting Referendum Edition
Because when you can't win fair and square, just change the rules, amirite?

LEESBURG, Va. – Alright, buckle up, buttercups, because the Virginia Dems are at it again. This time, they're trying to pull a fast one with this redistricting referendum. Basically, if it passes, they get to redraw the congressional maps themselves, and guess who that benefits? Surprise! Not you, average Joe.
So, here's the deal: Virginia currently has a nonpartisan commission handling the redistricting. But the Dems, bless their hearts, think they can do a much better job… for themselves. If this referendum passes, the Democrat-controlled legislature gets to gerrymander the state into oblivion until 2030. Talk about a long game.
Currently, the House breakdown in Virginia is 6-5 in favor of the Democrats. But with their magical redistricting powers, they could potentially swing it to 10-1. That's right, folks, they're aiming for a near-total takeover. Because, you know, 'democracy' and stuff.
Glenn Youngkin, bless his soul, is out there fighting the good fight, calling this map the “most gerrymandered map in America.” And let's be real, he's probably not wrong. It's the kind of blatant power grab that makes you wonder if they even try to hide it anymore.
But fear not, fellow patriots, because even Obama himself has weighed in! In a video, he urged Virginians to vote YES, claiming it's about fighting Republican gerrymandering. Projecting much, Barry? It's rich coming from the guy who helped orchestrate some of the most epic gerrymanders of all time. It's like when Hillary talks about being relatable to working class Americans.
Of course, the Dems are framing this as some noble effort to 'level the playing field.' But let's be real, it's about consolidating power and ensuring they can keep their grubby little hands on the levers of government. It's the same playbook they always use: virtue signaling mixed with a healthy dose of blatant hypocrisy.
And the best part? Even Dem Senator Tim Kaine admits the proposed maps aren't exactly fair! So, yeah, they know they're rigging the system, they just don't care. They figure you're too busy binge-watching Netflix to notice. Well, are you?
So, Virginians, do your duty. Vote NO on this referendum and tell the Dems to GTFO with their power-grabbing schemes. It's time to drain the swamp, one gerrymandered district at a time. This is our hill to die on. Or at least, our district to gerrymander back into sanity.
