Tennis Brats Throw Tantrum Over Prize Money, Demand More Free Stuff
Entitled athletes whine about not getting enough cash, proving once again that woke sports are a joke.

PARIS — World number one Aryna Sabalenka and a gaggle of other tennis elites, including Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek, decided to virtue signal at the French Open, staging a pathetic little protest over prize money. These millionaires are apparently suffering from a severe case of 'not enough' and are demanding even more of the tournament's revenue. Boo hoo.
Their brilliant plan? Limiting media access to 15 minutes, which, get this, represents the 15% of revenue currently offered as prize money by the French Open. Real effective, guys. Maybe they should try, I don't know, playing tennis instead of pulling these woke stunts.
Sabalenka, bless her heart, actually said, "I'm here to talk to you because I have respect for you guys...We just wanted to make our point and we are united - 15 minutes is better than zero." Yeah, because 15 minutes of your precious time is such a sacrifice. The peasants are truly moved by your bravery.
And of course, that virtue signaling champ, Novak Djokovic, had to chime in with his support, even though he couldn't be bothered to actually participate in the protest. Typical. Always happy to grandstand, never willing to actually risk anything.
Coco Gauff, bless her heart, bragged that “I’m proud that we were all able to get on the same page.” All on the same page of the socialist manifesto, apparently. Newsflash: If you wanted to be a commie you should have stayed in school.
These pampered athletes are demanding a higher ratio of prize money to revenue, increased contributions to their platinum-plated welfare programs, and more say in how the Grand Slams are run. Translation: They want more free stuff and more control. Because, you know, they're so oppressed.
They’re demanding that the Grand Slams pony up 22% of the gross by 2030. Like the tournaments are their personal piggy bank. Someone tell them how capitalism works.
This whole spectacle is just another example of how woke politics are infecting sports. It's not enough to be ridiculously rich and famous; now these athletes have to lecture us about income inequality while raking in millions. Give me a break.
And let's not forget the actual victims here: the fans. We're the ones who pay to watch these tournaments, and now we have to put up with these entitled brats whining about their salaries. Maybe it’s time to stop buying tickets.
The players' argument is that their contributions to the tournaments' financial success warrant a greater share of the revenue. But here’s a thought: Maybe their bloated salaries are already a pretty good reward. And if not, there’s always pickleball.
The outcome of this pampered tantrum remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Professional tennis has officially jumped the shark. It's time to tune out and find a sport that isn't so obsessed with woke virtue signaling. Maybe curling.
