Swalwell's Swamp Gets Draino'd: Staffers Bail After #MeToo 2.0 Drops
Turns out Mr. 'I'm With Her' might have been a little *too* with her, as Swalwell's campaign goes full Titanic after a torpedo of allegations.

Sacramento, CA – Well, well, well, if it isn't consequences for thee, but not for me! Eric Swalwell, the darling of the Resistance™ and cable news' favorite Trump-basher, is finding out that even virtue signaling can't shield you from the wrath of angry women. His campaign for California governor is currently resembling the last chopper out of Saigon after a series of sexual misconduct allegations dropped hotter than a mixtape.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, one brave woman is alleging Swalwell sexually assaulted her on two separate occasions. Apparently, being a #GirlBoss supporter doesn't give you a free pass to grope your employees. The unnamed woman claims these incidents occurred while she was working for Swalwell, who's been milking that sweet, sweet Congressional paycheck since 2013. She alleged he sexually assaulted her while she was, shall we say, 'unable to consent'.
Swalwell, in full damage control mode, released a statement claiming he's 'always protected women' and will 'defend myself with the facts'. Translation: Lawyers are gonna get paid. He also claims his focus is on 'being with my wife and children', which is always a great look when you're accused of being a creep. CNN also piled on, reporting allegations from three other women. It's like a sexual misconduct clearance sale over at Swalwell HQ!
Of course, this all conveniently surfaced after some chatter online about a horde of women ready to spill the tea on Swalwell's alleged inappropriate behavior. Swalwell, naturally, dismissed this as 'false' and a blatant attempt to derail his campaign. Because everyone knows #MeToo allegations are just Republican conspiracies, right? (Narrator: They're not.) Three campaign staffers, including some chick named Courtni Pugh, have already jumped ship. Smart move.
Even Adam Schiff, the human pencil neck and Swalwell's biggest cheerleader, had to pull his endorsement. Schiff probably realized that associating with a potential predator wasn't the best look for his own career ambitions. Senator Ruben Gallego, who initially defended Swalwell, also backtracked faster than Kamala Harris changes her political stances. "What is described is indefensible," Gallego said, suddenly realizing he'd put his foot in it. No duh.
Antonio Villaraigosa, another Democrat trying to grab Newsom's seat, is calling for Swalwell to not only drop out of the governor's race but also resign from Congress. "Eric Swalwell’s attempt to silence victims to save his campaign… is a shameful disgrace to our democracy,” Villaraigosa said. Ya think? Swalwell's campaign is now officially circling the drain, and the schadenfreude is delicious. Maybe he should have spent less time virtue signaling and more time not allegedly sexually assaulting people. Just a thought.
