SCOTUS Drops Absolute Based Bombshells: Leftist Crybabies in Shambles Over Gun Law, Immigration, and Monsanto
The Supreme Court spent Thursday absolutely wrecking gun-grabbers, activists, and trial lawyers in a series of hilariously based legal rulings.
It was an absolute certified banger of a Thursday at the Supreme Court, as the conservative majority handed down three massive decisions that sent leftist Twitter into an immediate tailspin. The justices greenlit the Trump administration's plan to end deportation protections for Haitians and Syrians, shielded Monsanto from frivolous Roundup lawsuits, and completely shredded Hawaii’s unconstitutional gun laws. To break down the glorious carnage, SCOTUSblog co-founder Amy Howe sat down with Geoff Bennett to explain how the court basically told progressives to cope and seethe.
First up, the Court decided that words actually mean what they say, ruling that "Temporary" Protected Status (TPS) is, in fact, temporary. The Trump administration has been trying to end these outdated deportation protections for Haitians and Syrians for years, but activist judges kept blocking them. SCOTUS finally stepped in and reminded everyone that the executive branch actually runs immigration policy, clearing the runway for deportations to proceed.
The tears from the open-borders lobby were immediate, but the law is the law. You can't just occupy a country permanently because your home nation had a bad storm decades ago. The Court's decision to restore basic executive authority over border control is a massive win for national sovereignty and a hilarious reality check for the 'no human is illegal' crowd.
Next, the court delivered a crushing defeat to the trial-lawyer cartel by ruling that Monsanto can't be sued into oblivion over its weedkiller, Roundup. Activist lawyers have been trying to extract billions from the agricultural giant based on junk science, claiming glyphosate causes cancer despite the EPA repeatedly stating the product is perfectly safe. The Supreme Court put a hard stop to this grift by ruling that federal EPA approvals preempt state-level lawsuit nonsense.
This decision is a huge win for actual science and common sense. If a company complies with every single federal regulatory warning requirement, they shouldn't be held hostage by greedy lawyers in activist-friendly state courts. The ruling protects a vital farming tool and shuts down a massive lawsuit scam, leaving plaintiff attorneys crying into their expensive watches.
But the absolute highlight of the day was the court completely obliterating Hawaii's restrictive gun laws. Hawaii basically made it impossible for normal, law-abiding citizens to carry a firearm for self-defense, requiring them to beg local bureaucrats and prove some kind of 'special need' just to exercise a constitutional right. SCOTUS looked at this obvious infringement and said, 'absolutely not.'
