Alright, folks, settle down. The establishment's favorite grandpa, Jim Risch, is back for another round. The Associated Press reported Risch's victory shortly after polls closed in Idaho. This 83-year-old swamp creature, RINO extraordinaire, just secured the Republican nomination in Idaho, paving the way for his fourth term in the Senate. And who do we have to thank? None other than the Orange Man himself, Donald Trump. Endorsements, am I right?

Risch, bless his heart, is about as exciting as watching paint dry. He's been sucking from the government teat since before some of you were born. Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and now Senator. What's next, Emperor of Idaho? (Don't give him ideas.) He chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which basically means he gets to play with taxpayer money and decide which countries get the 'ol freedom treatment. Remember that war in Iran and the mess in Venezuela? He was all over that like gravy on biscuits.

Sure, Trump endorsed him. Maybe he owed him a favor, maybe he just didn't want to ruffle any feathers. Who knows? But let's not pretend Risch is some kind of MAGA warrior. He's a creature of the swamp, plain and simple. He votes the party line, collects his checks, and probably forgets where he parked his car half the time.

And let's be real, Idaho is basically a Republican stronghold. A ham sandwich with an 'R' next to its name could win that state. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer thinks he's going to "flip" the Senate? Good luck with that, Chuck. Maybe try offering free avocado toast to the voters. That might work.

We've got David Roth, the realtor, running as a Democrat. Bless his heart. And Todd Achilles, the former state rep, trying his luck as an independent. It's like watching a kitten try to take down a grizzly bear. Cute, but ultimately pointless.

So, yeah, Risch won. The establishment wins again. The swamp remains un-drained. But hey, at least we get four more years of… something. Probably. Maybe he'll accidentally start World War III. Wouldn't that be a hoot?
