Nepal's 'Nepo Kids' Go Quiet While the Grift Continues: Elections, LOL
Turns out, raging about influencer kids online doesn't fix systemic corruption, who knew?

Kathmandu, Nepal - So, Nepal's heading to the polls, and guess what? Everyone suddenly forgot about the 'nepo kids' and their cringe social media posts. Remember the outrage over designer diaper bags and Swiss ski trips while the peasants are off to the Gulf for slave labor? Yeah, that's so last season. Now it's all about 'corruption.' As if the two aren't related.
Last summer, the Zoomers lost their minds over the lifestyles of the politicians' spawn. Louis Vuitton luggage piled high like a capitalist Christmas tree! Outrageous! But did that actually change anything? Nope. It just made the trust fund babies delete their Instagrams. Big win for the revolution, guys.
Some lab tech named Satish Kumar Yadav whined to the BBC about how the poors have to go to the desert for work while the elites are living it up in Thailand. Groundbreaking stuff. Then the government tried to ban social media, because that's always a winning strategy. Predictably, it blew up in their faces. Riots, deaths, the whole shebang.
Now the pols are promising 'reforms.' Sure, Jan. Meanwhile, Shrinkhala Khatiwada, former Miss Nepal and professional 'nepo kid,' made a YouTube video crying about how unfair it all is. Boo hoo. Smita Dahal, granddaughter of a former commie guerilla leader, locked down her Insta. The horror!
Of course, there's always one chad who refuses to back down. Saugat Thapa, son of a minister, is still flexing his luxury lifestyle online. Good for him. He probably knows this whole thing is a joke. He even defended himself by saying his dad returned every rupee earned from public service. Whether that's true or not is beside the point. At least someone's not cowering.
Dipika Saru Mugar, a professional protester, says everyone's forgotten about the 'nepo babies.' No duh. Attention spans are shorter than a TikTok video. But hey, at least now they're focused on 'corruption,' which is totally a different thing, right? Wrong. It's all the same damn grift.
Transparency International says 84% of Nepalis think corruption is up. Well, color me shocked. The whole system is rigged, from the top down. But hey, keep voting for the same clowns and expecting different results. That's the definition of insanity, but who cares? It's Nepal.
So, enjoy the elections, sheeple. Vote for whoever promises the most free stuff. Just don't be surprised when the 'nepo kids' are still living large while you're slaving away to pay for their caviar. This is the way.
