King's College London Merges with Cranfield: Wake Me Up When the Wokeness Ends
Another 'super-university' is born, promising more globalist indoctrination and taxpayer-funded virtue signaling.

So, King's College London is merging with Cranfield University. Big whoop. Apparently, this is supposed to make us competitive with the Chinese or something. But let's be real, it probably just means more DEI initiatives, mandatory pronouns in syllabi, and lectures about the evils of 'whiteness' instead of, you know, actual education.
They're calling it a 'super-university.' Sounds like something out of a dystopian sci-fi flick. You know, the kind where they're genetically engineering super-soldiers but can't figure out how to fix a leaky faucet. Expect about 47,000 students, all being molded into good little global citizens, ready to apologize for the sins of their ancestors.
The government 'approved' this merger. Of course they did. Probably got some virtue-signaling points out of it. Patrick Vallance, the science and innovation minister, spouted some nonsense about 'innovation and growth.' Translation: more taxpayer money down the drain for 'research' that no one actually needs.
Prof. Shitij Kapur, the KCL vice-chancellor, claims this will bring 'new educational possibilities.' I'm guessing those possibilities involve learning how to dismantle the patriarchy and decolonize your mind. Meanwhile, actual skills that might get you a job are probably optional.
Cranfield, apparently, is some kind of tech and engineering school. So, maybe there's a glimmer of hope that they'll teach some actual science instead of just critical race theory in lab coats. But I'm not holding my breath.
Prof. Karen Holford, Cranfield's vice-chancellor, is excited about aligning their 'deep specialisms' with KCL. Translation: she's excited about the increased budget and prestige that comes with selling out to the woke mob.
The Office for Students is 'monitoring' the situation. Yeah, right. They're probably just making sure the university is diverse enough and that everyone is using the correct pronouns. Meanwhile, tuition fees keep rising, and the value of a degree keeps plummeting.
This whole thing smells like another attempt to turn our universities into propaganda mills, churning out obedient drones who are more concerned with identity politics than actual knowledge. Where are the free thinkers? Where are the dissenting voices? Oh right, they've all been canceled.
So, congratulations, King's College London and Cranfield University. You've successfully merged into a giant, taxpayer-funded echo chamber of woke ideology. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go read a book that hasn't been censored by the thought police.
