ICE Boss Skedaddles: Another Swamp Creature Bites the Dust
Todd Lyons, the guy in charge of rounding up illegals (allegedly), is tapping out at the end of May. What gives?

Okay, folks, gather 'round. The saga of the Trump administration continues, and this time it involves our favorite whipping boy, ICE. Turns out Todd Lyons, the acting director – acting, mind you, like a bad community theater production – is peacing out at the end of May. That's right, the guy who was supposedly spearheading Trump's immigration crackdown is heading for the hills.
Now, before you start popping champagne corks (liberals) or sharpening your pitchforks (conservatives who actually thought the Wall was gonna get built), let's pump the brakes. This is just another Tuesday in the Deep State, folks. Acting this, interim that – it's all a game to keep the peasants distracted while the real power brokers laugh all the way to the bank. Or, more likely, to Davos.
Lyons, who got the nod in March 2025, was supposedly running the show while Trump tried to MAGA-fy our borders. But let's be real, did you see any fewer illegals pouring across the border? Did you feel safer knowing that ICE was supposedly on the case? Probably not. Because the Swamp runs deep, and even Trump couldn't drain the whole damn thing in four years.
So, what's the real reason Lyons is bailing? Maybe he got a better offer from a think tank funded by George Soros. Maybe he's writing a tell-all book about the inner workings of the Deep State (doubtful, but one can dream). Or maybe, just maybe, he realized that enforcing immigration laws is a thankless job that makes you the target of every soyboy and virtue signaler on Twitter. Whatever the reason, he's out.
Now, the question is, who's next? Will Trump appoint another hardliner who promises to deport everyone who doesn't speak fluent American? Or will he cave to the pressure from the left and nominate some diversity hire who's more concerned with pronouns than border security? Place your bets, folks, because this is gonna be a wild ride.
In the meantime, let's not pretend that this one resignation is going to change anything. The immigration system is still a joke. The border is still a sieve. And the Deep State is still pulling the strings. But hey, at least we got another juicy bit of drama to keep us entertained while the world burns. Remember, folks, nothing ever really changes. Just the actors on the stage.
And let's be honest, ICE is just a convenient scapegoat. They're the ones who get the blame for enforcing the laws that Congress passes (or, more often, doesn't pass). They're the ones who have to deal with the consequences of decades of failed immigration policies. So, before you start bashing ICE, maybe take a look at the politicians who created this mess in the first place.
Anyway, Lyons is out. The Swamp remains. And the show goes on.
