Holy Hell! Texas Priest Gets the #MeToo Treatment, Could Face Mega-Trial
Woke prosecutors try to nail Catholic clergyman for 'exploiting emotional dependency' — time for a perp walk? Or is this just another witch hunt?

WACO, Texas – Buckle up, buttercups, because another man in a robe is about to get the full woke treatment. Anthony Odiong, a Roman collar-wearin' Catholic priest, is facing the music after three broads accused him of getting frisky with their feelings (and maybe more?). Now, the McLennan County DA wants to throw all three cases into one giant trial – because, you know, efficiency.
According to the motion filed by First Assistant District Attorney Ryan Calvert (probably a card-carrying member of the ACLU), Odiong allegedly used his position as a 'spiritual advisor' to get these ladies all hot and bothered. The charge? Exploiting 'emotional dependency.' Sounds kinda like half of Tinder, but hey, whatever floats your boat. Tentative trial date: May 4. Mark your calendars, folks.
So, what's the dirt? Seems like back in February 2024, some lib rag (The Guardian) ran a hit piece on Odiong, detailing accusations of 'sexual coercion, unwanted touching, and abusive financial control.' Cue the outrage mob, the virtue signaling, and the inevitable charges: five counts of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of second-degree sexual assault.
Now, I'm not saying Odiong is innocent. Maybe he's a total creep. Maybe he just has a charisma that drives the ladies wild. The point is, let's not get carried away with this 'vulnerable adult' nonsense. Last I checked, these women were adults. Capable of making their own decisions. If they felt pressured, they could have, you know, walked away. But no, gotta play the victim card. Gets you all the clicks on twitter.
Speaking of 'vulnerable adults,' the Catholic Church currently defines them as anyone over 18 with “severe intellectual developmental or psychological disabilities.” But apparently, that's not broad enough for the woke brigade. They want to include anyone who's 'emotionally dependent' on their spiritual leader. Which, let's be honest, is like half the congregation. At that point, every priest would be walking on eggshells.
If convicted on any of the first-degree charges, Odiong could face life in prison. Life! For what? Being a charming priest? I mean, maybe, maybe not... but a bit excessive, don't you think?
Investigators claim they found ten women who were supposedly preyed on by Odiong. Ten! That's a regular harem. But hey, only three of those cases led to charges. So, either the other seven were lying, or the DA's office is just incompetent. You choose.
