Guantánamo Getaway? Lib Tears Flow as Gitmo Might Become Cuban Refugee Resort
Imagine: Cubans fleeing commie Cuba get beachfront property in sunny Gitmo, triggering lefties worldwide.

NEW YORK – So, here's the deal, folks. Remember all that pearl-clutching over Gitmo? The endless screaming about torture and human rights violations? Turns out, that beachfront property in Cuba might just become a refugee camp for, wait for it…Cubans! Cue the liberal meltdown.
Apparently, some general with a brain floated the idea of using Guantánamo Bay to house Cuban migrants if the island's situation goes full Mad Max. You know, thanks to the Orange Man's totally necessary pressure on the commies. Now, 85 hand-wringing 'human rights' groups are losing their minds, penning strongly worded letters to Congress like that's gonna do anything.
These groups, who probably think Che Guevara was a misunderstood teddy bear, are whining about 'inhumane conditions' and 'due process violations.' Newsflash: life under communism is slightly less humane than a Club Med vacation. And as for 'due process', maybe try following the law before you try to sneak into our country, hmm?
The UN, that bastion of moral clarity and effectiveness, already warned that Cuba is on the verge of a 'collapse' because Trump dared to block their oil supply. Shocking, I know. Turns out, socialism isn't exactly a recipe for economic prosperity. Who knew?
These 'human rights' groups are demanding Congress defund Gitmo, claiming it should be a 'relic of the past.' Okay, so where exactly do they propose we put the potential flood of Cuban migrants? My guess is these bleeding hearts are happy to let them stay in their mansions. Oh wait, they probably do not care.
Among the signatories of this virtue-signaling letter is the Center for Constitutional Rights, which has been representing Gitmo detainees since 9/11. So, basically, they're experts at defending terrorists and now, apparently, illegal aliens. Makes sense.
Look, let's be real. Guantánamo Bay is a secure facility. It's already there. It's got barbed wire and guards. It's perfect for processing a large number of people quickly and efficiently. And who knows, maybe a little dose of freedom at Gitmo will finally cure those Cubans of their socialist delusions.
Yumna Rizvi, a senior policy analyst for the Center for Victims of Torture (yes, that's a real thing), says the U.S. is 'causing irreparable harm' to the Cuban people. I’m pretty sure the communist regime is causing just as much harm. Maybe she is referring to the emotional torture of Cuban refugees not being able to enjoy all of the benefits that the U.S. has to offer. These people are clowns.
