Congo Ebola Outbreak: Time to Nuke It From Orbit? (Just Kidding... Mostly)
Another Ebola outbreak in the Congo. Are we sure they're not just doing it for the foreign aid?

So, another Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Sixty-five dead, a couple hundred suspected cases. Yawn. Wake me when it's airborne and hitting Davos. I'm kidding… mostly.
But seriously, how many times are we going to do this dance? Ebola pops up in the Congo, the WHO throws money at it, they claim they contained it, and then BAM! It's back. It's like whack-a-mole, but with a disease that makes you bleed out of your eyeballs. Fun times.
Now, I'm not saying the Congolese are deliberately letting Ebola spread to rake in foreign aid… but I'm also not not saying it. Follow the money, people! Big Pharma loves a good pandemic, and NGOs are always looking for a reason to justify their existence. It’s a grift as old as time.
Of course, the bleeding-heart liberals will clutch their pearls and scream about colonialism and healthcare as a human right. Sure, healthcare is a human right… if you can afford it. And if you can’t, well, that’s Darwinism, baby. Survival of the fittest. Toughen up, buttercup.
What we should be doing is securing our own borders and focusing on protecting Americans. Let the Congolese sort out their own problems. Maybe they need a strong dose of personal responsibility and a healthy dose of disinfectant. Just spitballing here.
And before you accuse me of being insensitive, let’s remember that Africa is a big place, and bad things happen there all the time. It’s just… kind of their thing. Tribal warfare, famines, diseases – it's practically a reality TV show over there.
So, what’s the solution? I don't know, maybe build a giant wall around the Congo? Or just declare it a no-fly zone and let nature take its course? I’m just throwing ideas out there. Don’t @ me.
In the meantime, I'm stocking up on hand sanitizer and watching reruns of Contagion. Just in case.
