Alberta First Nation Goes Woke, Tries to Block Based Secession Push
Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation cries 'treaty rights' to shut down Alberta's Chad separatist movement — are they really worried, or just useful idiots?

TORONTO – Oh, here we go again. Just when Alberta was about to pull a based move and tell Trudeau's Canada to kick rocks, some virtue-signaling First Nation swoops in to save the day for the woke establishment. The Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation is now trying to block Alberta's secession referendum, whining about 'treaty rights.' Give me a break.
Look, Alberta's got every right to be pissed. They're basically bankrolling the rest of Canada with their oil while getting nothing but grief in return. The feds are choking their economy, and now they're trying to stop them from even thinking about leaving. It's taxation without representation, plain and simple.
So, when Stay Free Alberta finally gets enough signatures to force a referendum – almost 180,000, BTW – suddenly it's a crisis? The Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation is running to the courts, claiming their treaty rights are being violated. Seriously? Seems like they're more worried about their handouts from Trudeau than about actual freedom and prosperity for Albertans.
Danielle Smith tried to level the playing field by lowering the signature requirement for referendums and neutering the electoral officer. Good. The more power in the hands of the people, the better. But of course, that's a threat to the elites who want to control everything.
Stay Free Alberta wants to ask a simple question: “Do you agree that the Province of Alberta should cease to be part of Canada and become an independent state?” What's so scary about that, eh? Let the people decide. Unless, of course, you're afraid of what they might say.
But the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, bless their hearts, is saying Alberta is treating them like 'chattel.' Cry me a river. Maybe if they weren't so busy playing the victim card, they'd realize that an independent Alberta could be a win-win for everyone, including them. Think about it: more control over resources, less federal meddling, and the chance to actually build a better future.
Instead, they're running to the courts, demanding that everything be constitutional. As if Trudeau gives a damn about the constitution when it suits him. They're also worried about 'foreign interference' because some separatist activists talked to Trump people. Oh noes! The horror! Maybe they’re scared Alberta will finally drain the swamp if they get some MAGA help.
