Woke Scholarship Alert: Another Race-Based Giveaway Gets Sued
Lefties in Hawaii are big mad after some group called 'Do No Harm' dares to challenge their sacred cow scholarship for 'Native Hawaiians.'

Alright, folks, buckle up because the woke train just hit a major derailment. Some group with the baller name 'Do No Harm' – clearly haven't been infected with the woke mind virus – decided to drop a lawsuit on the Native Hawaiian Health Scholarship Program. This program, for the last 35 years, has been handing out free money to 'Native Hawaiian' med students. You know, because equality means discriminating against everyone else.
Here's the deal: this scholarship, born from the loins of the 'Native Hawaiian Health Care Act' (sounds legit), basically says if you can claim even a sliver of Hawaiian DNA from, like, your great-great-grandpappy who surfed with Duke Kahanamoku, you get a golden ticket to med school. Meanwhile, your average Joe Schmoe with straight A's and a passion for healing gets told to kick rocks because he lacks the 'right' ancestry. Sounds fair, right?
Do No Harm, bless their hearts, actually had the audacity to point out that this is, you know, textbook discrimination. They even had members try to apply and got the usual 'sorry, you're too white (or Asian, or Black, or whatever non-Hawaiian flavor)' rejection. Stanley Goldfarb, the head honcho over there, is out here dropping truth bombs about ensuring 'well-deserving applicants' can actually compete. What a concept!
The usual suspects are losing their minds, of course. Sheri-Ann Daniels, the CEO of Papa Ola Lōkahi (try saying that five times fast), is whining about 'historical context' and 'equitable access.' Translation: 'We need to keep giving free stuff to our chosen group because…reasons!'
This is just another front in the culture war, folks. The Left is obsessed with identity politics and dividing everyone into victim groups and oppressor groups. They want to dismantle meritocracy and replace it with equity, which basically means equal outcomes regardless of effort or talent. Spoiler alert: it doesn't work.
They point to the fact that Native Hawaiians have worse health outcomes as justification for this blatant discrimination. But maybe, just maybe, the solution isn't to lower standards and hand out freebies based on race. Maybe it's to address the root causes of those disparities, like poverty, lack of access to healthy food, and cultural factors. Nah, that's too hard. Let's just throw money at the problem and call it a day.
This lawsuit is a small victory in the fight against woke insanity. Let's hope the courts see through the Left's identity politics and uphold the principle of equal opportunity for all. And maybe, just maybe, we can start treating people as individuals instead of reducing them to their racial identity. One can dream, right?
