Woke Radio Pioneer Bob Law Dead at 86: 'Night Talk' Was Lit, Fam
Long before CNN tried to 'understand' the streets, Law gave Black voices a mic... and probably triggered some libs along the way.
Welp, another one bites the dust. Bob Law, the dude behind “Night Talk,” has cashed out at 86. For you normies, that’s, like, ancient in internet years. But back in the day, he was a total O.G. in talk radio, allegedly.
This 'Night Talk' show he ran in the wee hours was supposedly syndicated nationwide. Think Coast to Coast AM, but…woker. And Blacker. Which, let's be real, probably gave some pearl-clutching conservatives the vapors back in the day.
Apparently, he let Black cultural and political elites yap about stuff. Real groundbreaking stuff, no doubt. Probably lots of grievance studies and accusations of systemic everything. But hey, gotta give him credit for carving out a niche, right?
Remember when Corporate tried to co-opt Black voices? Law was out there doing the thing on his own. Salute.
The takes probably weren’t what you’d call #Based. More like #WokeAF. But who cares? Free speech, baby! Let a thousand flowers bloom, even if they're all virtue-signaling daisies. The snowflake melt is real, folks!
It's always funny how the MSM suddenly remembers these dudes when they finally kick the bucket. Like, where were all the glowing profiles when he was actually alive and broadcasting? Crickets, that's where. Bet you're already seeing all kinds of takes about how problematic he really was.
I'm just waiting for the inevitable think pieces about how “Night Talk” actually perpetuated harmful stereotypes and was secretly funded by the Koch brothers. You know how it goes.
Anyway, RIP, Bob Law. You triggered some people, made some people think, and probably annoyed a whole lot of other people. That’s a life well-lived, if you ask me. Also can someone get that based AI art rendering of Bob Law with the laser eyes?
So, crank up some Wu-Tang and pour one out for a real one. His impact is probably already being assessed by some woke social media interns, but they were talking about real things out here. He made an impact. Big up.
His show created a media landscape that allows for voices that are not just the same old song and dance, and we tip our hats.
Don't let the mainstream media fool you. Real voices are rare, so let's appreciate the good work done.
