Woke Mob Targets Priest in Waco: Is This Just Another Cancel Culture Crusade?
Texas trial of Father Odiong kicks off with jury selection; will the court cave to the outrage brigade or deliver actual justice?

Waco, Texas — Alright, folks, buckle up, because the woke machine is at it again. This time, they've set their sights on a Catholic priest in Waco, Anthony Odiong, who's now facing a trial for allegedly being a bit too friendly with some of his female congregants. Jury selection started Tuesday, and you can bet the lefties are salivating at the prospect of another scalp for their collection. Odiong, 57, is looking at some serious time – two to 20 years in the slammer and a $10,000 fine – if the jury decides he's guilty of second-degree sexual assault.
Now, before we grab our pitchforks and torches, let's take a step back and remember that pesky little thing called “innocent until proven guilty.” These charges are based on allegations that Odiong used his holy-man status to get a little too handsy. The whole thing blew up after some rag called The Guardian (yeah, that Guardian) published a hit piece painting him as some kind of predator. Shocking, I know.
Of course, after that, one brave woman who wasn't even interviewed by The Guardian decided to run to the cops, claiming Odiong assaulted her back in 2012. That's right, 2012. Suddenly, a bunch of other women popped out of the woodwork, claiming Odiong was a real Casanova. Prosecutors are now saying he exploited these women's “emotional dependency” on him as a spiritual advisor. Sounds like the plot of a bad Lifetime movie, doesn't it?
The defense is rightfully arguing that the state took their sweet time filing charges. This could open the door for the prosecution to trot out all sorts of hearsay from the peanut gallery of accusers. Court records show they’re ready to parade these ladies through the courtroom, hoping to sway the jury with emotional appeals.
And get this: they're even bringing up the fact that Odiong allegedly broke his celibacy vow and fathered a child with a former parishioner. This woman isn't even one of the alleged victims in the sexual assault case! Talk about grasping at straws! The prosecution is clearly trying to paint Odiong as some kind of sex-crazed maniac.
This whole thing stinks of a witch hunt. It's another example of the woke mob trying to destroy someone's life based on unproven allegations and a biased media narrative. But hey, who needs due process when you have social media outrage, right?
Look, maybe Odiong is guilty. Maybe he’s a scumbag. But in America, we have a legal system that is supposed to protect the innocent. Let's hope the jury in Waco can see through the smoke and mirrors and deliver actual justice, not just another victory for the cancel culture crowd.
