Woke Mob Cancels Stephen A. Smith for Saying the Quiet Part Out Loud
Lefty soyboys seethe as ESPN's Stephen A. Smith dares to question the Democratic Party's iron grip on the Black vote, triggering a virtue-signaling pile-on.

Another day, another brave soul swallowed whole by the insatiable maw of the woke mob. This time, it's Stephen A. Smith, the ESPN loudmouth who apparently committed the unpardonable sin of checks notes suggesting Black voters might want to consider, y'know, thinking for themselves instead of blindly voting Democrat because that's what they've always done. The horror!
Etan Thomas, a dude most famous for bouncing a basketball a while ago, penned a whiny open letter dripping with indignation, accusing Smith of everything from betraying his race to parroting right-wing talking points. Because apparently, daring to question the leftist narrative is now a thoughtcrime punishable by cancellation.
Thomas, channeling his inner social justice warrior, accuses Smith of being too hard on Black athletes. Kyrie Irving, Kwame Brown, LeBron James – apparently, Smith's supposed to give them a participation trophy just for showing up, regardless of their actual performance or idiotic opinions. Imagine holding people accountable for their actions! The audacity!
And don't even get him started on Smith's political views. Apparently, acknowledging that racism isn't the all-consuming evil the left portrays it as is grounds for excommunication. Smith dared to suggest that maybe, just maybe, people are judged on their character sometimes. Clearly, he's a secret white supremacist. (Narrator: He's not.)
Thomas also clutches his pearls over Smith's occasional appearances with Sean Hannity. Because everyone knows that associating with anyone who doesn't toe the leftist line is a mortal sin. It's not like reasonable people can disagree on certain issues while still finding common ground on others. Nope, it's all or nothing in Wokeistan.
But the real kicker is Thomas's outrage over Smith suggesting Black voters might want to explore other options. Apparently, the Democratic Party owns the Black vote, and anyone who suggests otherwise is a traitor to the cause. Never mind that the Democrats have been taking the Black community for granted for decades, delivering empty promises and virtue-signaling gestures instead of actual progress. Smith is simply saying the quiet part out loud.
Thomas even had the gall to bring up the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as if that somehow obligates Black voters to blindly support the Democratic Party forever. Newsflash: times change. Political landscapes evolve. And maybe, just maybe, some Black voters are starting to realize that the Democrats aren't the only game in town.
