Woke Climate Cult Now Claims Green New Deal Will Save You Money (Yeah, Right)
Leftist think tank unveils 'working-class climate agenda,' because nothing screams 'working class' like shutting down highways and lecturing you about your carbon footprint.

WASHINGTON D.C. — So, the geniuses over at the Climate and Community Institute (CCI), a group so far left they probably think the Earth is flat (ironically, it's not, but their ideas are), have cooked up a new scheme: a 'working-class climate agenda.' Because, you know, the working class is just dying to pay more for gas and have their steaks confiscated by Greta Thunberg's minions. This proposal, dramatically titled 'Stop Greed, Build Green' (as if greed is a new phenomenon), is supposed to convince us that the climate crisis is the real reason you can't afford groceries. Riiiiight.
These are the same people who told us the Green New Deal would create millions of jobs and solve all our problems, except the jobs are all installing solar panels in the desert and the only problem solved is the one where AOC needed a new Instagram photo op. The fact that they’re still trying to sell us this stuff after the last four years is peak clown world.
Remember when everyone was saying Trump was dismantling environmental protections? Good times. Now we're dismantling the economy in the name of saving the planet. CCI, of course, wants to go back to the 'good old days' of crippling regulations and virtue signaling, all while lecturing you about your SUV. These are the same folks who wrote bills for AOC and Bernie, so you know it's gonna be good… for Venezuela, maybe.
Naomi Klein, a card-carrying leftist and CCI advisor, insists that reducing emissions won't break the bank. Sure, Naomi. Maybe she should try paying her own electricity bill for once. The launch event in NYC featured all the usual suspects: socialist activists, academics who haven't seen sunlight in years, and people who probably think capitalism is a disease. A week later, they brought their roadshow to D.C., where they undoubtedly patted themselves on the back for being so brave and progressive while sipping organic lattes paid for by… you guessed it, the taxpayers.
And of course, they have a 'survey' proving that 70% of voters, including (gasp!) 65% of Republicans, believe climate action will lower the cost of living. That’s like polling people on whether they want free money. Who wouldn’t say yes? The problem is, reality has a habit of disagreeing with leftist fantasies.
Patrick Bigger (ironic name), CCI’s research director, blames the financial woes of the working class on 'underinvestment' by capital and government. Translation: not enough free stuff. Their solution? More economic democracy, which, in leftist speak, means more government control and less freedom. Gotta love the irony of a group blocking a highway ramp to protest the fossil fuel industry, impacting working people just trying to get to their jobs. Real class solidarity, right there.
