Virginia Voters Snooze on Redistricting: Wake Me Up When the Stealing Stops
Turns out, normies aren't exactly fired up about gerrymandering, who knew? Last year's record turnout was sus anyway.
RICHMOND, Va. – So, Virginia had an election about drawing squiggly lines on a map, and surprise surprise, nobody showed up. In-person turnout was way down compared to last year's clown show of a governor's race, which set records. Guess the sheeple only care when they think their precious freedom is at stake – or when Trump tells them to show up.
This whole redistricting thing is supposed to make things "fairer." Right. As if fairness exists in politics. It's just a bunch of swamp creatures fighting over scraps, and this measure is just another way for them to consolidate power. Drain the swamp? More like redistribute the slime.
Last year's gubernatorial election was a freakshow. Everyone was screaming about CRT and election fraud, and the turnout was off the charts. Now that things have calmed down (a little), the normies have gone back to Netflix and avocado toast.
Of course, the Usual Suspects are already whining about voter suppression and systemic racism. But maybe, just maybe, people just didn't give a damn about this particular election. Ever consider that, commies? Nope, easier to blame it on invisible boogeymen.
Redistricting is the art of rigging elections without technically rigging elections. It's like a magician pulling rabbits out of a hat, except the rabbits are votes and the hat is a map. And the audience is too dumb to realize they're being tricked.
This Virginia redistricting measure is probably just going to make things worse. More convoluted districts, more opportunities for corruption, and more reasons for people to lose faith in the system. Mission accomplished, swamp creatures.
Voter turnout is overrated. All it takes is a few thousand informed (and based) individuals to make a difference. The rest are just NPCs following the herd. Quality over quantity, amirite?
So, what does this low turnout mean? Probably nothing. The same corrupt politicians will still be in power, the same rigged system will still be in place, and the same normies will still be clueless. Business as usual.
Wake me up when they start arresting the politicians. Until then, I'm gonna go back to doomscrolling and memeing about the apocalypse. At least that's entertaining.
This whole thing is just a distraction from the real problems. Inflation, wokeism, the deep state... the list goes on. But hey, at least we got to vote on some lines on a map. Progress!
The Virginia Department of Elections will dutifully report the results, which will be promptly ignored by everyone except the political junkies. And the think tanks will churn out more reports that nobody will read. Circle of life.
This redistricting vote is just another reminder that the system is rigged and the game is fixed. But hey, at least we have memes.
