Trump's Youth Support Goes Bye-Bye: Turns Out Promises Ain't Priceless
Remember when Zoomers were gonna MAGA? Turns out, reality hits harder than a Lib's feelings after a Trump tweet.

Okay, folks, let's get real. Remember when the narrative was all about Trump winning over the youths? The TikTok teens were gonna #WalkAway and own the libs, right? Well, turns out, reality has a funny way of ruining a good meme. The latest polls show Trump's approval rating with the under-30 crowd has tanked harder than CNN's ratings after Trump left office. We're talking a drop from 48% to somewhere between 25% and 33%. Ouch.
What happened? Well, turns out promises are like NFTs: worth a lot until you try to cash 'em in. Trump promised the moon – a killer economy, cheap gas, and a chicken in every pot (probably a genetically modified, MAGA-branded chicken). But what did the Zoomers get? Inflation hotter than AOC after someone mentions capitalism.
Inflation, baby! It's eating their avocado toast and their dreams of owning a house (or even a decent apartment). Seventy-eight percent of young Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of inflation. They're too busy paying $8 a gallon for gas to post dank memes about Brandon. And don't even get them started on coffee prices. Can't even afford the fuel to grind.
Trump's been busy building a $400 million ballroom (priorities, am I right?), bombing Iran (which definitely helped gas prices... not), and starting tariff wars with everyone and their grandma. Meanwhile, the youths are stuck eating ramen and wondering if they'll ever escape their parents' basement.
But wait, there's more! Turns out, young people also don't like authoritarianism. Who knew? Sending masked ICE agents into cities? Not a good look. Posting a picture of himself as Jesus? Maybe a bit much, even for the most die-hard Trump supporter. Demolishing the East Wing of the White House? Triggering. Especially now that everything is so expensive.
Only 13% of young Americans think the country is headed in the right direction. Just 30% think they'll be better off than their parents. That's not exactly a ringing endorsement of the Trump agenda.
Trump promised to make college more affordable, but tuition keeps climbing. He promised to lower healthcare costs, but those are soaring faster than Hunter Biden's kite. Meanwhile, he's trying to cut student aid. It’s almost like someone is actively trying to lose an election. Almost.
Even Lizabel, a young voter who used to support Trump, is singing a different tune. "Things are pretty chaotic lately," she said. "A lot of people are struggling to find jobs. A lot of people are feeling kind of pessimistic about what things are going on.” You hear that, GOP? Pessimism! That's the opposite of winning!
