Texas SCOTUS Slaps Down Abbott's Power Move: Dems Still Here, Cope More
Turns out, you can't just banish lawmakers 'cause they threw a hissy fit over maps. Sad!
AUSTIN, Texas — Well, well, well, looks like the establishment RINOs over at the Texas Supreme Court decided to pump the brakes on Governor Abbott's plan to yeet those pesky Democrat legislators into the sun. Remember that epic walkout the Dems pulled last year, fleeing the state like their avocado toast was on fire, all because they didn't like the new redistricting maps? Yeah, Abbott tried to give 'em the boot. Turns out, even in Texas, you can't just unperson people because they hurt your feelings.
These virtue-signaling snowflakes, bless their hearts, high-tailed it out of Texas to whine about how the GOP was totally ruining democracy with…checks notes…fairly standard redistricting. I mean, come on, gerrymandering is like the official sport of American politics. Both sides do it! But these guys acted like Abbott was about to reinstate Jim Crow laws. Drama queens, the lot of 'em.
So, Abbott, being the law-and-order kinda guy he is, decided to explore options for giving these truants a permanent time-out. Some folks were talking about expulsion, maybe even impeachment. But the Texas Supreme Court, in its infinite wisdom, said, “Nah, fam. Not necessary.” Translation: Calm down, Greg. You’re embarrassing us.
Now, the libs are probably popping champagne corks, thinking this is some huge victory for “democracy.” But let’s be real, all it means is that the Dems get to keep their cushy jobs and continue obstructing anything and everything that might actually benefit the state. Great. Just great.
Redistricting, for the uninitiated, is basically a giant game of political Tetris. Every ten years, after the census, states redraw their legislative districts to reflect population changes. And, surprise surprise, the party in power tries to draw those lines in a way that gives them an advantage. Shocking, I know.
The Texas Dems, naturally, claimed the maps were racist and designed to suppress minority voters. Because that’s always the excuse, isn't it? Never mind that the state has a growing minority population and Republicans are actually making inroads with Hispanic voters. Gotta keep that victim narrative going, amirite?
Look, I'm not saying Abbott was necessarily wrong to want to punish these guys for their little tantrum. I'm just saying he got played. The libs know how to work the system, how to milk the outrage, how to spin everything to their advantage. We need to be smarter, tougher, and more ruthless. No more Mr. Nice Guy.
This whole saga is just another reminder that the swamp is deep and the corruption is real. The courts are supposed to be impartial, but let’s be honest, they’re just as politicized as everything else. So, what’s a patriot to do? Keep fighting, keep exposing the lies, and keep meming the hell out of these clowns.
In the meantime, the Texas Dems will continue to collect their paychecks, obstruct the legislative process, and virtue-signal to their heart's content. And the rest of us will just have to watch and seethe. But hey, at least we got some good memes out of it, right?
So yeah, the Texas Supreme Court basically told Abbott to sit down. It’s a setback, sure, but it’s not the end of the world. We’ll be back. Stronger, smarter, and more ready to fight. Just you wait.
