Texas Dems Go Full Woke, Nominate Goodwin to Take on Based Dan Patrick
Another day, another Democrat doubling down on woke nonsense. Can Texas survive?

DALLAS — Hold onto your Stetsons, folks, because the Texas Dems have gone full-blown woke. They just nominated State Rep. Vikki Goodwin to challenge Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, and her platform is a checklist of every cringe-worthy progressive talking point imaginable.
Goodwin wants to throw more money at failing public schools, expand Medicaid (because government-run healthcare is always a smashing success), and repeal Texas' perfectly reasonable abortion ban. Meanwhile, her opponent, Marcos Vélez, was at least talking about things like property tax relief – you know, stuff that might actually help normal people. But no, the Dems went with the candidate who wants to turn Texas into California 2.0.
Dan Patrick, on the other hand, has been a rock-solid conservative for years. He's kept Texas' economy booming, defended our borders, and stood up for traditional values. But now, he's got to deal with this Goodwin character, who's probably going to spend the next few months screeching about social justice and demanding free stuff for everyone.
The Lieutenant Governor's office is actually pretty powerful in Texas. They control the Senate agenda, appoint committee chairs, and can break tie votes. So, if Goodwin somehow manages to win (which, let's be honest, is unlikely but not impossible in this clown world), she could do some serious damage.
Of course, even if Goodwin wins, the Republican-controlled Senate could just rewrite the rules and neuter her power. But that would just lead to more whining and accusations of racism, sexism, and every other -ism in the book. So, either way, we're screwed.
This whole election is just a reminder of how out-of-touch the Democratic Party has become. They're so obsessed with identity politics and woke ideology that they've completely forgotten about the needs of ordinary Americans. But hey, at least it's entertaining to watch them self-destruct.
So, get ready for another election filled with virtue signaling, empty promises, and endless accusations of bigotry. The future of Texas is at stake. God help us all.
Between the border crisis and the rampant inflation the Dems seem intent on ignoring, the idea that they are pushing a candidate to expand government programs feels tone deaf to most Texans.
This will be a test of what Texans truly value, and hopefully they choose to stick with the people who have steered them right this last decade.
Godwin's nomination feels like they are trying to take Texas kicking and screaming to the left and it is unlikely to work.
Texas Republicans are already sharpening their knives and preparing to paint Goodwin as the socialist she probably is.
