Tennessee GOP Flexes, Nukes Dem Holdout After SCOTUS Blessing
Lefties seethe as Republicans finally do what they should've done all along: represent their voters.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Get wrecked, libs. The Tennessee GOP, fresh off a Supreme Court victory that finally put the kibosh on overzealous Voting Rights Act interpretations, just dropped a redistricting nuke on the state's last Dem stronghold. Turns out, SCOTUS actually read the Constitution, and now Tennessee can draw maps that… wait for it… accurately reflect the will of the voters. Shocking, I know.
The new maps surgically dismantle Tennessee's 9th congressional district, formerly a bastion of Memphis liberalism, scattering its precious Black voters across three separate districts like confetti at a conservative victory parade. Each district now gets a 'fair' share of the Memphis vote, meaning no more guaranteed wins for the Dems.
As a result, all nine of Tennessee's congressional districts are now painted a lovely shade of Republican red. Cry more, progressives. The old 9th district used to hug the southwest corner of the state, all cozy and protected. Now? It's been eviscerated and stretched out like a Thanksgiving turkey carcass after the family's done with it, reaching all the way to Nashville's suburbs. Ouch.
During the floor debate, some triggered lib, State Representative Vincent Dixie, whined, "If Republican policies are so great, why are we changing the lines to rig elections?" Buddy, if your policies were so great, you wouldn't need gerrymandering in the first place. Maybe try not sucking next time?
Then some other clown, Justin Jones, threw a hissy fit, calling the House Speaker some ridiculous name and waving around a Confederate flag. Talk about missing the point. These people are so desperate for attention it's sad. Amendments? "Untimely," said the Speaker. Cope.
This all happened just days after the Supreme Court dropped the hammer in Callais v. Landry, basically telling activist judges to stay out of state redistricting. Tennessee, unlike some other squish states, listened to Trump and finally did what needed to be done. No more Mr. Nice Guy.
Speaker Sexton, bless his heart, said the redraw will "ensure the state's representation in Washington reflects its conservative values." And about time too. Trump crushed Kamala Harris in Tennessee in 2024, yet these clowns still had a seat at the table. Not anymore.
Stacey Abrams, professional victim and failed gubernatorial candidate, popped up to bleat about "Jim Crow" and "authoritarianism." Honey, sit down. This isn't about race; it's about representing the voters who actually live here.
