South Carolina GOP About to Dump Clyburn into the Memory Hole?
The Supreme Court finally did something useful, and now South Carolina Republicans might actually redraw that gerrymandered 'minority' district — based!

So, the Supremes finally dropped a nuke on the Voting Rights Act (thanks, Clarence!), and now South Carolina Republicans are eyeing that comically shaped district of James Clyburn's with a glint in their eye. Turns out, those 'historic agreements' with 'civil rights leaders' only last until the next power grab, who knew?
Clyburn's district, bless its heart, looks like someone spilled spaghetti on a map. It snakes its way from Georgia to Charleston to Columbia, picking up all sorts of 'historically marginalized communities' along the way. It's a regular diversity bingo card, carefully crafted to ensure maximum Democrat votes. You almost feel bad for the guy, having to represent such a… unique constituency. Almost.
Turns out, Trump was right (again). That 'peace pact' between the South Carolina GOP and the 'civil rights' racket was built on sand. The Supreme Court kicked away the sandcastle, and now the Republicans are finally thinking about playing hardball. It only took 36 years.
Of course, the usual suspects are screaming 'Jim Crow 2.0!' and 'voter suppression!' because that's literally all they know how to scream. But let's be real, the Voting Rights Act has been used as a bludgeon to force states into drawing absurd districts for decades. Time to end the madness.
Apparently, back in 1990, the Black caucus went to the Republicans and said, 'We'll vote for your map if you give us a safe seat.' And the Republicans, being the Republicans, caved. Now, thanks to the Supreme Court, they have a chance to undo that deal with the devil.
Clyburn, meanwhile, has been busy playing kingmaker for geriatric presidential candidates and funneling taxpayer dollars back to his state. He's basically the swamp personified. Maybe, just maybe, South Carolina voters deserve a district that actually makes sense, instead of a carefully engineered Democrat stronghold.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is some noble quest for 'justice' or 'equality.' It's politics. It's about power. And for once, the Republicans might actually be playing the game right. Let the leftists cry about 'democracy' and 'representation.' We'll be over here enjoying the schadenfreude.
So, pop some popcorn, fire up the memes, and watch the fun. Will the South Carolina GOP finally have the stones to redraw the map? Will Clyburn go down swinging? Will the left implode with rage? Stay tuned, because this is going to be good. Real good.
