WASHINGTON – Okay, folks, settle down. The Senate, in a rare moment of not-total-uselessness, managed to squeak through a procedural vote to fund ICE and CBP. Yes, the very same ICE and CBP that the woke left wants to abolish because they're, like, totally fascist for enforcing laws. The GOP, showing approximately 1/10th of the spine we expect them to, pulled a fast one during a late-night session to bypass the usual Dem shenanigans. These snowflakes were holding up the funding because of, you guessed it, feelings. Apparently, two shootings in Minnesota by ICE/CBP operatives (context? Irrelevant!) mean we should just, what, let the border turn into Mad Max: Immigrant Edition? Two squishy Republican senators, probably angling for MSNBC gigs, joined the Dems to vote against it. Traitors, the lot of them.

Let's be real, this isn't some grand victory. It's a temporary band-aid on a gaping wound. The Dems are still screeching about "reforms" – code for gutting enforcement and turning ICE into a social worker collective. Meanwhile, the border is about as secure as a screen door in a hurricane. Trump wanted this funding package on his desk by June 1st? Don't hold your breath. Remember the DHS shutdown? Still going on, because apparently funding the people who protect us is just too darn controversial. The libs want to defund the police so bad they’ll do anything. Airplanes, border… Doesn’t matter. Orange man bad is all that matters to these people.

The House, of course, is a whole other dumpster fire. Expect more virtue signaling, more performative outrage, and precisely zero actual solutions. Remember when Mullin over at DHS said they'd run out of money in May? Yeah, that clock's ticking. So, congratulations, Senate, you managed to do the absolute bare minimum. Don't expect a medal. Now get back to work and actually secure the freaking border. Before it’s too late, and we are all speaking Spanish. (No offense.) The Dems call for reform are about as genuine as the Wokeness of Ben and Jerry. Get real. This is about opening the floodgates to unlimited immigrants from Central and South America.

And the worst part? This funding only lasts until the end of Trump’s term. So get ready for this whole circus to start again in 2025, when Kamala or whoever is pretending to be President tries to dismantle ICE and CBP altogether. God help us all.
