Rodgers Pulls a Brady: One Last Ride Before the Woke Mob Cancels Him
Aaron Rodgers announces 2026 retirement, proving even elite QBs can't escape the inevitable woke takeover of sports.

Pittsburgh, PA - So, Aaron Rodgers, the thinking man's quarterback (and the left's favorite target), says 2026 is it. The final countdown before he joins the ranks of the permanently canceled, presumably for saying something logical on Joe Rogan's podcast again. The dude's entering his 22nd season, which is roughly equivalent to three woke news cycles in today's climate.
He's got a one-year deal with the Steelers, allegedly worth $25 million – pocket change considering what they're probably paying the diversity consultants these days. He led the Steelers to the AFC North title last year, but let's be real, that's just delaying the inevitable descent into woke mediocrity. Remember when sports were about, you know, sports?
McCarthy's back, too. Talk about a geriatric reunion tour. These guys won a Super Bowl back when the NFL was still watchable, before kneeling and social justice virtue signaling became mandatory viewing. They defeated Mike Tomlin’s Steelers back in 2010, a simpler time when men were men and quarterbacks weren't afraid to speak their minds.
Rodgers says he almost retired after Tomlin stepped down, but McCarthy convinced him to stick around. Probably promised him he could still say “woke” without getting fined. “When [Tomlin] said he was stepping away, that was an emotional moment just because we all love him so much and care about him, and I thought that was probably it for me in Pittsburgh,” Rodgers said. “But when the decision was made to hire [McCarthy], I started opening my mind back up to coming back.” So basically, he's addicted to the spotlight, who isn't?
Before slumming it in Pittsburgh, Rodgers was supposedly with the New York Jets from 2023 to 2024. Probably spent more time dodging woke scolds than opposing linebackers. Now he's talking about a “full circle” moment. More like a full faceplant into the abyss of political correctness.
“There was some doubt for sure, but I had good conversations with Mike going back to when he was hired. It’s nice to come back. It felt different than last year, cause I knew some of the guys and the people that work here,” Rodgers said. Yeah, yeah, we get it. He feels safe surrounded by fellow dinosaurs who remember when America was great.
So, 2026. Mark your calendars. That’s when the last bastion of independent thought in the NFL hangs up his cleats. After that, expect mandatory pronoun training in the locker room and Colin Kaepernick statues in every stadium. Thanks, woke mob. You ruined football.
