RIP Rob Base: 'It Takes Two' to Trigger the Libs, Now He's One Short
Another legend bites the dust, leaving behind a banger that still makes normies question their life choices.

So, Rob Base is dead. Cancer got him. 59 years old. He was the rapper half of Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, the guys who dropped “It Takes Two” back in '88. That song was everywhere. Even your grandma knew it, probably against her will. Another one gone. FeelsBadMan.
Honestly, “It Takes Two” was kinda based. It's pure, unadulterated energy. No woke garbage, no virtue signaling, just a straight-up party anthem. And the sampling? Ahead of its time. It's the kind of song that reminds you that the late '80s were actually pretty cool before everyone got all PC'd.
DJ E-Z Rock checked out in 2014 from diabetes complications. Now the other half of the duo is gone. Guess it really does take two to make a thing go right. Now it just takes one, and that one is in the ground. Dark humor? Maybe. Accurate? Definitely.
Remember Profile Records? That label was a godsend. They actually took a chance on hip-hop before it was sanitized and corporatized. Now everything is woke garbage and mumble rap. Thanks, progressives.
“It Takes Two” got sampled by everyone: Snoop Dogg, Black Eyed Peas, you name it. Even showed up in a bunch of movies. That's how you know it's a banger. It transcended genres, demographics, and everything else the media tries to divide us with. Music used to unite, remember? Now it just virtue signals.
Let's be real, the '80s were the last good decade. No internet ruining everything, no social media making everyone miserable, just good music and questionable fashion choices. Rob Base was a part of that. He represents a time when things were simpler, when you could just turn on the radio and hear something that made you want to dance without feeling guilty about your privilege.
So, raise a glass to Rob Base. He made some noise, made some money, and annoyed some liberals along the way. That's a life well-lived, IMO. And now? Back to the culture war.
And for the record, kids today wouldn't know real music if it slapped them in the face. Too busy cancel culturing and virtue signaling. Smh.
The older generation knows the classics, the younger generation thinks auto tune is real music. Sadge.
Hope Rob Base rests in peace, and that he is not offended by these crude jokes being made in memory of him.
The song continues to be used and sampled in today's music, hopefully the youths are aware where it came from, and that they respect the classics.
