Podunk Town Throws Tantrum Over Mean Ol' ICE Jail: Cue the Wailing
Social Circle, Georgia, population roughly the number of brain cells in a woke college professor, is suing the Feds 'cause they don't want a new ICE facility. Cry me a river, libs.

Alright, buckle up, buttercups, 'cause we're diving into the latest snowflake meltdown. Seems the tiny town of Social Circle, Georgia – population, as I said, roughly equal to the number of functional adults left in Portland – is throwing a hissy fit because the dreaded ICE wants to build a detention center nearby. You know, a place to keep the illegal aliens until they can be politely escorted back across the border they so rudely crashed in the first place. But NOOOO, that's, like, totally uncool, man.
These enlightened yokels are suing the feds, claiming the facility violates the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Administrative Procedure Act (APA), and, wait for it…Georgia's “public nuisance” law. A public nuisance? Because housing people who broke the law is, like, worse than a horde of locusts? Get real.
According to Adam Lauridsen, one of the town's lawyers (bet he drives a Prius), Social Circle is just “defending their rights.” Defending their rights to what, exactly? To live in a gated community of virtue signaling while the rest of us deal with the consequences of open borders? Timothy D. Lytton, some fancy-pants professor, says this lawsuit frames the issue in a “different way.” Yeah, it frames it as another example of pampered elites trying to insulate themselves from reality.
And then there's Samantha Hamilton from Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Atlanta. Gotta get that intersectionality score up, right? She bleats about “the humanity of the people behind this.” Oh, the humanity! What about the humanity of the American citizens whose jobs are being stolen, whose wages are being suppressed, and whose communities are being overrun by illegal aliens?
Of course, the article makes sure to mention that nearly 75% of the county voted for Trump. Because, you know, that makes them automatically evil. It's also hilarious that the states whining the loudest – New Jersey, Michigan, Maryland, Arizona – are all run by Democrats. Shocking, I know. It’s always someone else’s problem, right?
Eric Taylor, the city manager, whines about the facility straining resources. Boo hoo. Maybe instead of funding gender studies programs, the feds could, oh I don't know, enforce immigration laws and deport the people who are straining your resources in the first place?
Lauridsen is right about one thing: it's rare for a town this size to challenge the feds. But it’s not because they’re brave; it’s because they’re being egged on by left-wing activists who want to undermine immigration enforcement at every turn. The warehouse cost $128 million? Well, at least someone is getting rich off this whole mess.
