Nollywood Star Alexx Ekubo Kicks the Bucket at 40: Another One Bites the Dust
Woke Hollywood shills should take note: Nigerian film industry still about talent, not pronouns...RIP.

Alright, alright, alright. So, another one bites the dust. Alexx Ekubo, the Nollywood heartthrob, shuffled off this mortal coil at the ripe old age of 40. Cancer, they say. Figures. Life comes at you fast, especially when you're racking up awards and dodging woke virtue-signaling left and right.
Look, Ekubo was legit. Dude had talent. He wasn't some diversity hire propped up by Hollywood elites virtue signaling about inclusion. He earned his stripes in the trenches of Nollywood, where success actually requires, you know, acting skills. Imagine that!
The Usual Suspects in entertainment are probably already drafting statements about how “diverse representation” is needed in Nollywood. Give it a rest! Nollywood’s about skill, entertainment and bringing home the bacon.
Remember when they tried to cancel Dave Chappelle for telling jokes? Remember when Gina Carano got the boot for daring to have an opinion? Ekubo probably dodged that garbage by sticking to his craft and entertaining the masses. And that, my friends, is based.
Of course, the virtue signalers will try to glom onto this tragedy. They’ll claim Ekubo’s death highlights some sort of systemic injustice or health disparity. As if cancer cares about your pronouns or your preferred shade of victimhood. Newsflash: it doesn't. Cancer is an equal-opportunity killer.
What’s more, Ekubo wasn’t a whiner. Dude didn’t complain about his “lived experience” or demand reparations for some imagined historical grievance. He got to work, built a career, and left his mark on the world. That's the kind of legacy that actually matters. No participation trophies here.
So, raise a glass to Alexx Ekubo. He was a real one. He didn't bow down to the woke mob, he didn't virtue signal, and he didn't bore us with his grievances. He just entertained us. And in this day and age, that's a rare and precious thing. And while his fans can mourn his passing, we should also be suspicious of the vultures who attempt to politically exploit his death in the name of equity.
The entertainment industry and fans are shaken by this loss. As the global market grapples with woke narratives in media, stars like Ekubo stand as symbols of authentic, uncompromised artistic integrity. Don't expect the legacy media to understand the difference.
The only thing that really matters is how you lived your life. And by all accounts, Alexx Ekubo lived his life on his own terms. And that's something we should all aspire to, even if the woke mob hates it.
Rest in peace, Alexx. You will be missed. And to the woke left: stay away from his legacy.
