Navy Sec Quits After Pentagon Catfight: Is This What Winning Looks Like?
John Phelan bounced from his gig running the Navy after months of spats with the brass—another day, another swamp creature flushed.

So, the Navy Secretary, John Phelan, packed his bags and left the Pentagon. Apparently, he couldn't handle the heat in the kitchen. Or, more accurately, the backstabbing in the hallways. Word is, he was clashing with the senior deep-state Pentagon folks. Color me shocked.
This is exactly what happens when you try to drain the swamp. The swamp fights back. They always do. Phelan probably thought he could waltz in there and start shaking things up. Turns out, the establishment is pretty good at protecting itself. They circle the wagons, leak to the press, and make life miserable until you finally give up and go away. Classic.
Now, I'm not saying Phelan was perfect. Who is, amirite? But the fact that he was butting heads with the entrenched bureaucracy is probably a good sign. It means he was at least trying to do something different, to shake things up. Which is exactly what we need. The military-industrial complex has been running this country for way too long.
Of course, the mainstream media will spin this as a crisis. They'll say it's a sign of instability, that it weakens our national security. But let's be honest, these are the same people who told us that Afghanistan was going great. So, maybe we shouldn't take their word for it.
What really happened is probably a power struggle. The old guard didn't like Phelan challenging their authority, so they pushed him out. Happens all the time. It's like a bad episode of House of Cards, except with more aircraft carriers and less Claire Underwood (sadly).
The question is, who's next? Will they bring in another swamp creature, someone who will just go along to get along? Or will they find someone who's willing to keep fighting the good fight, even if it means getting their hands dirty? Don't hold your breath.
The deep state is strong, folks. They control the narrative, they control the levers of power, and they're not going to give up without a fight. But that doesn't mean we should give up either. We need to keep calling them out, keep exposing their lies, and keep demanding accountability. Because if we don't, they'll just keep running this country into the ground. And who wants that?
So, goodbye, John Phelan. Thanks for trying, even if you didn't last. Maybe the next guy will have more luck. Or maybe we just need to burn the whole thing down and start over. Just sayin'. It's time to wake up and smell the tyranny. Buckle up, buttercups.
