Mississippi Dems Triggered: Redistricting Session to Be Held at Based Old Capitol
Woke tears flow as lawmakers plan to redraw districts at the historic site, which apparently hurts their feelings or something.

JACKSON, Miss. – Get ready for some epic levels of cope, libs! The Mississippi House is set to convene a special session at the Old Capitol on May 20 to redraw state supreme court districts. Why? Because the current capitol is undergoing renovations, duh. But the lefties are losing their minds because… history, or something.
Speaker Jason White, a Republican, said any special sessions before January 2027 will be at the Old Capitol. The Senate? Still in the new digs. This is about getting the job done, people. But the Social Justice Warriors (SJWs) can't handle it.
Apparently, the Old Capitol, where Mississippi voted to secede back in the day, is now a “triggering” location. Cry more, snowflakes. It's just a building. They met there in 2009 after Hurricane Katrina damage, and back in the 80s. Where were the pearl-clutching histrionics then?
Kabir Karriem, a Dem state rep and head of the Black caucus, is whining about the “optics.” Boo hoo. Maybe focus on actual policy instead of virtue signaling. He claims it’s “horrific for 1.2 million Black folks.” Seriously? Dramatic much?
This all stems from the Supreme Court's smackdown of the Voting Rights Act in Louisiana v. Callais. Now, Mississippi needs to redraw those districts. Governor Tate Reeves called the session, and now the chaos begins.
And don't forget, Trump wants Mississippi to redraw congressional districts to give Bennie Thompson, the Jan 6 committee clown, the boot. Based? You bet. Primaries already happened, but hey, a little re-election insurance never hurt anyone.
Safia Malin from One Voice Mississippi claims this is a “deliberately or intentionally cruel attempt.” Seriously? Are we talking microaggressions now? Get a grip. The building is a reminder of the past, sure, but also of progress. It's called history, look it up.
Cheikh Taylor, the head of the Mississippi Democrat party, is ranting about power and keeping Black Mississippians down. Standard Dem playbook: claim victimhood and demand more free stuff. It's all about the narrative, not reality.
So, buckle up, because the redistricting drama is about to unfold. The libs will cry, the media will amplify their tears, and sane people will roll their eyes. The more they whine, the more entertaining it will be. Stay frosty.
