Mississippi Dems Triggered as GOP Eyes Thompson's 'Safe' Seat
Supreme Court slaps down VRA, setting the stage for based Mississippi Republicans to finally fix that gerrymandered mess.

Welp, looks like the Supreme Court dropped some red pills in Mississippi, and the Dems are choking on 'em. Seems that recent ruling on the Voting Rights Act has given the state's Republicans the go-ahead to finally address the elephant in the room: Representative Bennie Thompson's hilariously gerrymandered district.
Thompson, bless his heart, is whining that the SCOTUS decision opens the door for voter suppression. Boo hoo. Maybe if the Dems hadn't spent the last few decades crying wolf, people might actually listen. Remember when asking for ID at the polls was “voter suppression”? Good times.
Mississippi Ag Commissioner Andy Gipson, a potential future governor (and a real one, not some woke corporate shill), is openly calling for redrawing the lines to make the district less of a joke. State Auditor Shad White is singing the same tune, calling out the current map as a prime example of Dem-style gerrymandering. Pot meet kettle, maybe? Nah, this is different. This is about fixing the existing gerrymander.
Funny how Thompson conveniently forgets that the district has been drawn by Republican-majority legislatures since he took office in 1993. The last time they redrew it, they added a bunch of rural counties he didn't want. Cry more, Bennie. The current district spans almost 300 miles, meaning Thompson has to charter flights to even pretend to care about the hicks out there. Maybe if he spent less time virtue signaling in DC and more time actually representing his constituents, he wouldn't be in this mess.
Look, everyone knows the Dems love to screech about “voter suppression” whenever they lose an election. They pulled the same stunt in Georgia, and look how that turned out. Remember Stacey Abrams? Still waiting for her to admit she lost fair and square. Don't hold your breath.
The reality is, the Voting Rights Act has been weaponized for decades to protect Dem strongholds and silence dissenting voices. The Supreme Court finally put a stop to it, and the lefties are losing their minds. Good. Maybe now we can have some actual competition and not just rubber-stamp elections.
So, crack open a cold one, MAGA bros, and watch the libs seethe as Mississippi Republicans finally do what needs to be done. It's gonna be glorious. Just don't expect the MSM to report it fairly. They'll be too busy writing think pieces about the end of democracy. Again.
