JD Vance Says Iran Naughty, Needs Timeout: MAGA Diplomacy Incoming?
Vance goes full Trump, warns Iran not to 'play' us, hinting at some spicy negotiations ahead. Buckle up, buttercups!

Okay, folks, so JD Vance, our resident intellectual firebrand, just dropped a truth bomb on the Iran situation. He's heading to Pakistan – no idea why, probably to stir the pot – but before he left, he said he expects 'positive' US-Iran talks. Positive? As in, 'Iran stops being a global menace' positive? Color me skeptical.
He says Trump gave 'pretty clear guidelines.' Right. The same Trump who yeeted us out of the Iran deal like it was a bad Tinder date? The same deal that gave Iran BILLIONS to…checks notes…build more nukes and fund terrorism? Yeah, those guidelines. Probably something along the lines of 'Don't trust those ayatollah weirdos. They're always up to no good.' Which, let's be honest, is solid advice.
Vance qualified his optimism, saying the talks will only be productive if Iran doesn't 'play' us. Translation: if they don't try to pull another fast one, lie through their teeth, and generally act like the rogue state they are. Because, let's face it, Iran's track record on honesty is about as clean as Hunter Biden's laptop.
So, what does 'playing' the US even mean? Probably anything that involves Iran not immediately surrendering their nuclear program, disbanding their terrorist proxies, and apologizing for the past forty years of being a thorn in the side of civilization. You know, the usual.
The Left will screech about how this is all Trump's fault, blah blah blah. As if Obama's appeasement strategy worked so well. Newsflash: it didn't. It just emboldened Iran to become even more aggressive and destabilizing.
The Deep State probably wants us to just roll over and give Iran everything they want, because 'muh international norms.' But Vance is signaling a return to MAGA diplomacy: Peace through strength. Which is code for 'We're not afraid to bomb you back to the Stone Age if you don't behave.'
Pakistan's involvement? Who knows. Maybe they're trying to broker a deal. Maybe they're just hoping we'll give them some money. Either way, don't expect anything groundbreaking. This is the Middle East. Chaos is the default setting.
What's really going to happen? Probably a lot of posturing, some angry tweets, and maybe, just maybe, a grudging agreement to pretend to negotiate for another year. But hey, at least Vance is talking tough. That's a start. Keep draining the swamp, JD.
Remember folks, hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. And by 'worst,' I mean World War III. Just kidding…mostly.
