Israel Releases Flotilla Fruitcakes: Blockade Lives, Libs Seethe
Two Gaza flotilla activists get a free ticket home, but the wall stays up, snowflakes.

So, Israel's letting Saif Abu Keshek and Thiago Avila, two members of the Gaza Flotilla Fan Club, go home. Their lawyer told Al Jazeera, which is like asking the Hamas PR department for comment, but whatever. They're gone. Good riddance.
For the uninitiated, the "Gaza Flotilla" is basically a floating clown show of virtue signalers trying to bust through Israel's perfectly reasonable blockade of Gaza. Why a blockade? Because Gaza is run by Hamas, a terrorist organization that makes the Taliban look like a daycare center. They like rockets, tunnels, and generally causing mayhem. So, yeah, Israel keeps the gates locked. No surprise there.
These activists, bless their misguided hearts, think they're sticking it to The Man by trying to deliver pallets of hummus and solar panels (probably). What they're actually doing is providing propaganda fodder for the anti-Israel crowd. The 2010 Mavi Marmara incident? Nine dead activists and a whole lot of bad press. Lesson not learned, apparently.
Now, Abu Keshek and Avila are getting a free pass. Maybe Israel's feeling generous. Maybe they're tired of dealing with the paperwork. Whatever the reason, the blockade remains. Let's be clear: Israel has a right to defend itself. Letting a couple of virtue signaling chuckleheads go doesn't change that.
The Left will whine about "humanitarian crises" and "collective punishment." They always do. But they conveniently forget who's running Gaza and what their intentions are. Hamas could end the "crisis" tomorrow by renouncing violence and recognizing Israel's right to exist. Don't hold your breath.
Meanwhile, back in reality, Israel is doing what it needs to do to protect its citizens. The blockade is a necessary evil, and releasing these two bozos doesn't change that one bit.
So, to Abu Keshek and Avila: enjoy your flight home. Maybe next time, try volunteering at a soup kitchen instead of trying to break into a war zone. Just a thought.
And to the Left: cope and seethe. The blockade stays. Israel wins again.
This whole thing is basically a real-life version of that "Change My Mind" meme, except the argument is, "Israel has a right to defend itself," and the challenger is a gaggle of college students holding signs that say "Free Palestine!" It's not a fair fight.
Bottom line: don't poke the bear. Especially if the bear has a really good security system.
And remember: freedom isn't free, but virtue signaling is surprisingly cheap (especially if you're getting a free trip home courtesy of the Israeli government).
Now go forth and MAGA.
