Iran War Messes With Vietnam Rice Bowls, Thanks Brandon!
Two-week ceasefire in Iran means fertilizer costs still skyrocketing, Vietnamese farmers crying... Another win for the admin, amirite?
Mekong Delta, Vietnam – So, about that whole “peace through strength” thing? Yeah, turns out a ceasefire in Iran ain't exactly bringing down the price of fertilizer in the Mekong Delta. Our own Damien Cave – probably sipping some latte while the peasants struggle – is reporting from the front lines of Brandon's inflationary nightmare.
Apparently, this little dust-up in the Middle East, allegedly started by forces unseen (cough cough regime change cough cough), has caused the price of gas and plant food to go bonkers. Who would have thunk it? Certainly not the geniuses in Washington who thought printing money and shutting down pipelines was a brilliant idea.
The Mekong Delta, for those of you who failed geography, is where a lot of rice comes from. And rice, last I checked, is kind of important for, ya know, NOT STARVING. But hey, as long as we're funding gender studies programs in Pakistan, who cares if some rice farmer in Vietnam can't afford fertilizer? Priority, much?
This is what happens when you let woke idiots run the economy. They care more about pronouns than profits, more about virtue signaling than actual value. They demonize fossil fuels while simultaneously whining about rising gas prices. It's a clown show, folks, and the joke's on us.
But don't worry, I'm sure the Biden administration has a plan. Probably involves some new tax credit for electric tractors or some other virtue-signaling nonsense. Meanwhile, the price of rice is going to go up, and you're going to be paying for it at the grocery store.
So next time you're filling up your tank or buying a bag of rice, remember: this is what “progressive” economic policies look like in the real world. Enjoy your “equity,” peasants.
And while we're at it, maybe we should ask ourselves why we're even involved in these endless wars in the Middle East in the first place. Is it really about “freedom and democracy,” or is it about controlling resources and enriching the military-industrial complex? Just asking questions, folks.
Remember when Trump tweeted? At least gas was cheap! (sad trombone).
The peasants get what they deserve; this all seems sus.
Bidenomics hits Nam; globalist game confirmed.
We're all gonna starve; #ThanksBrandon.
