ICE Raids NJ Detention Center...With Delicious Meals and Comfy Beds, Apparently?
Lefties meltdown outside Delaney Hall after Gov. Sherrill gets the 'Access Denied' treatment; Meanwhile, inmates whine about 'inhumane' conditions...like, what, no avocado toast?

Okay, so the perpetually triggered crowd is at it again, this time freaking out outside the Delaney Hall ICE detention center in New Jersey. Seems like the usual suspects – the professional victimhood brigade – are claiming illegal immigrants are being held in conditions that are, like, totally inhumane, bro. Cue the fainting couches and demands to abolish ICE (again!).
Apparently, these delicate snowflakes tried to form a human chain. A human chain. Bless their hearts. Meanwhile, some mouth-breathers were throwing water and yelling at the ICE agents, who, you know, are just doing their jobs. You know, jobs that fund your government. But sure, go ahead and scream at them – that'll solve everything.
Then we have Gov. Mikie Sherrill, who, predictably, threw her two cents into the mix. She whined that her request to visit the facility was denied. "My request for access to Delaney Hall was formally denied this morning, raising serious questions about what they are trying to hide from public view," Sherrill said. Oh, I don't know, maybe they're trying to prevent a grandstanding politician from staging a photo op to score woke points? Just a thought.
Inside, we have a Hunger Games situation...well, not really. A few hundred detainees are on a hunger strike because they claim they're living in "inhumane" conditions. Let's be real, though: "inhumane" probably means they're not getting artisanal coffee and organic kale smoothies three times a day.
The letter they wrote is peak levels of self-pity. "Initially, we ask for forgiveness for the way we entered the United States, but given the circumstances we were living in our countries, which placed our lives and those of some members of our families in danger," the letter states. Oh, so you broke the law, got caught, and now you want forgiveness? Maybe you should have thought about that before you decided to waltz across the border illegally.
But wait, it gets better! According to DHS, these poor, oppressed detainees get three meals a day, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, soap, and toiletries. They even get phones to call their families and lawyers! Sounds more like a budget resort than a prison. In fact, ICE has "higher detention standards than most U.S. prisons that hold actual U.S. citizens." So, basically, illegal immigrants are getting better treatment than American criminals. Makes perfect sense.
The reality is, these people broke the law. They're being detained while they await deportation. It's not pretty, but it's not supposed to be. Maybe if the Left spent less time virtue signaling and more time enforcing the law, we wouldn't be in this mess to begin with.
It's like, ICE literally told all of you they feed, water, and give these guys bedding and soap. But you want to go full Karen and demand they release everyone! Newsflash: This isn't Sesame Street. Grow up and get a job, snowflakes.
