ICE Facility Gives 'Em an Inch: Visitation 'Partially' Restored After Whiny Protests
After a week of tantrum-throwing, illegal aliens get some family time – bet they're ordering take-out on our dime too.

NEWARK, N.J. – So, after a whole week of histrionics and hand-wringing, the geniuses in charge decided to 'partially' restore family visitation at Delaney Hall. You know, the ICE detention center where a bunch of folks who shouldn't even BE here decided to go on a hunger strike. Apparently, that's how you get what you want these days.
Governor Mikie Sherrill and the DHS, bless their hearts, caved just a little. Said it was all about keeping the peace or something. Meanwhile, the families of these 'detained immigrants' (read: people who broke the law) are scratching their heads, trying to figure out who gets the golden ticket to see their loved ones. And the local geniuses slapped a 9 p.m. curfew on the area. Because THAT'S gonna stop anything.
Apparently, these folks inside started a hunger and labor strike. Because being in detention isn't enough of a vacation, I guess. Protests erupted outside, full of the usual suspects screaming about 'human rights.' Facility staff let Units 1 and 3 have visitors. Unit 2, where the hunger strikers are apparently based, well, who knows? Maybe they'll get a pizza party later.
Sherrill's office and GEO Group are radio silent, which is probably smart. Anything they say will be twisted into some narrative about oppression and injustice. The road to Delaney Hall is now a fortress, except for the lucky families who get to visit. Makes sense. Don't want to inconvenience the people actively protesting against the existence of borders, right?
Oh, and there were 'clashes' between protesters and cops. Three arrests. You KNOW who started that. Newark's mayor, Ras Baraka, dropped a curfew like it was hot. Because curfews always work. Especially when people are passionate about…checks notes…breaking the law.
The whole thing is just another sideshow in the never-ending freakshow that is immigration 'reform.' These are the aggressive tactics that Trump's administration put in place. It's a circus, folks. A taxpayer-funded circus where the clowns are running the show, throwing themselves to the ground and declaring the whole thing unfair.
Let's be clear: nobody wants to see families separated. But maybe, JUST maybe, if people followed the rules in the first place, we wouldn't have this problem. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. And those prizes apparently now include 'partially restored' visitation after a week of whining. Good job, everybody. You’ve taught them how to work the system even better.
