Gun Grabbers Gonna Grab: 'Everyday Tragedy' Edition
NPR's Weekend Edition set to drop another hot take on gun violence – get ready for the feels and the calls for confiscation!

So, NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday is dropping a segment on 'The everyday tragedy of gun violence' on May 2, 2026. Translation: get ready for another round of hand-wringing and calls to disarm the peasants. Because, you know, disarming law-abiding citizens has totally worked out in history. (See: literally everywhere). The 'everyday tragedy' angle? Pure manipulation, folks. Gotta tug at those heartstrings before they start talking about 'common sense gun laws' that have nothing to do with common sense and everything to do with control.
Let's be real: This isn't about stopping criminals. Criminals don't follow laws. That's, like, their whole thing. This is about power. This is about the state having a monopoly on force. This is about turning us all into helpless sheep dependent on the government for protection – which, by the way, the government is spectacularly bad at providing. (See: Benghazi, the border, basically everything). How many mass shootings have happened in places where guns are banned? A lot. And how many times has a good guy with a gun stopped a mass shooting? Also, a lot. But you won’t hear about that from NPR.
They'll probably trot out the usual talking points: assault weapons ban (which is based on cosmetic features, not functionality), universal background checks (which are already pretty universal), and red flag laws (which are basically 'get your guns taken away because someone feels threatened'). All while ignoring the real problems: mental health, violent video games, fatherless homes, and a culture that glorifies violence.
And don’t even get me started on the hypocrisy. These are the same people who cheer on the government arming Ukraine to the teeth. Suddenly, guns are okay when they're being used to fight against a perceived enemy. But when we want to defend ourselves and our families? Suddenly, we’re the problem.
It’s always the same playbook: tragedy, outrage, legislation, erosion of freedom. Wash, rinse, repeat. But this time, let's not fall for it. Let's remind these gun-grabbing politicians that the Second Amendment isn't a suggestion. It's a right. And we're not giving it up without a fight.
Remember: an armed society is a polite society. And a well-armed populace is the last line of defense against tyranny. Don't let the NPCs tell you otherwise. Do not comply. Molon Labe.
So crank up some Disturbed, stock up on ammo, and prepare for the inevitable onslaught of virtue signaling and gun control propaganda. Because the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun... and a healthy dose of skepticism towards the mainstream media.
This whole 'everyday tragedy' narrative is just emotional manipulation. It is a method to scare you into supporting policies that will ultimately disarm you.
The NPR segment serves as a predictable attempt to stir up emotions and push for gun control. Stay vigilant, reject the narrative, and defend your rights.
They will likely try to get us to give up our guns. Don’t do it.
