GOP Coping and Seething as Tucker Carlson and MTG Hit the Eject Button Over Iran War Clowns
The MAGA-America First alliance is officially dead as Trump starts another forever war while domestic inflation and gas prices stay absolutely sky-high.

The Republican party is currently experiencing an absolute meltdown. In a move that has the neocon establishment completely coping and seething, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene have officially left the GOP. The two right-wing heavyweights, who used to be Trump’s biggest boosters, have decided they’re done with the party's second-term shenanigans, leaving a massive crater in the conservative coalition just in time for the midterms.
The breaking point? Trump’s brand-new war with Iran. Tucker and MTG are calling out the administration for running to start another overseas adventure while everyday Americans are getting absolutely wrecked by inflation and high gas prices. They’re basically pointing out that the establishment cares way more about foreign interventions than the actual citizens paying for the gas to drive to work.
Predictably, the GOP establishment is throwing a massive tantrum. Trump, utilizing his classic boomer-tier insult package, has already called MTG a "traitor" and labeled Tucker a "low-IQ person." Meanwhile, mainstream conservative commentators are running the standard playbook, accusing the duo of being anti-Israel to distract from the legitimate criticisms of the war.
To be fair, the drama is off the charts. MTG was the first Republican in Congress to call Israel’s military campaign in Gaza a "genocide," while Tucker is out here saying Trump completely sold out his base by letting Israel bait him into a direct war with Iran. Tucker also managed to trigger a massive media meltdown by doing a softball interview with white nationalist influencer Nick Fuentes, leading to a wave of antisemitism accusations that he’s denied.
Yes, MTG has had some incredibly goofy moments in the past—nobody is forgetting her absolute classic rant about "Nancy Pelosi’s gazpacho police" anytime soon—but both her and Tucker are serious heavyweights for a potential 2028 run. They hold a massive amount of sway over the "America First" faction, which is fundamentally different from Trump's MAGA crowd.
This split is actually a classic historical throwback. The original America First Committee back in 1940-1941 was all about keeping the U.S. out of World War II. Sure, it got messy and associated with Charles Lindbergh's populist nationalism, but the core energy is the same: stop funding foreign wars, protect the borders, and stop letting globalist elites dictate policy. Tucker is basically channeling old-school isolationist Senator Robert Taft, and he feels completely betrayed that Trump turned around and started a war with Iran.
