Google Cucked by UK Gov Over Suicide Forum? More Like, the Internet Always Wins
Yet another woke law fails to stop determined autists; VPNs are forever, libtards!

So, Google's catching flak in the UK because their search results are gasp leading people to a suicide forum. Apparently, 164 Brits offed themselves after finding it. Of course, the nanny state blames Google instead of, you know, the obvious – people choosing to do things.
Ofcom, the UK's equivalent of the FCC but even more cringe, already slapped the forum's US-based operator with a hefty fine – £950,000! – for the audacity of existing. But guess what? The site’s still up, and Google still lists it. The Molly Rose Foundation, another group of pearl-clutchers, is clutching their pearls harder than usual. Their leader, Andy Burrows, is whining to the BBC about Google not bending the knee hard enough.
The Online Safety Act, that pathetic attempt to control the internet, is supposed to stop this kind of thing. But surprise, surprise, it's not working. The forum says it's blocked in the UK, but they helpfully provide the website address. And anyone with half a brain (or a VPN) can bypass that “block” faster than you can say “cancel culture.”
Google, predictably, is playing the “we’re just following the rules” card. They claim Ofcom lets them respond to “navigational” queries, which is basically saying, “If you search for it, we’ll show it to you.” They also throw in some virtue signaling about prioritizing user safety and linking to the Samaritans. Yeah, real convincing, Google.
The kicker is that even Families and Survivors to Prevent Online Suicide Harms are complaining. Look, tragedies are awful, but trying to police the internet is like herding cats on ketamine. You can't stop people from finding information, especially when they’re determined.
Adele Zeynep Walton, whose sister Aimee Walton joined the dirt nap club via this forum, whines about waiting for action. Sorry about your loss, but expecting the government to fix your problems is peak NPC behavior. Maybe try turning off the TV and engaging with your loved ones instead of outsourcing parenting to the state.
Ofcom is now prepping a court order to try and nuke the site's connections. Good luck with that. The internet is like Hydra – cut off one head, two more pop up. They think they can control the flow of information? LOL. LMAO, even.
VPNs are the ultimate middle finger to these clowns. Set your location to the US, Germany, or France, and boom – suicide tips galore! The government might think they're winning, but they're just playing whack-a-mole with digital ghosts. The internet will always route around the damage.
