Gaza's 80% Unemployed? Maybe Stop Electing Terrorists, Guys
Israeli 'blockade' blamed for Gazan youth unemployment, but who's really holding Gaza hostage? (Spoiler: it's Hamas).

So, Gaza's got an 80% unemployment rate amongst the youths, huh? Shocked. Absolutely shocked. You'd think a place constantly lobbing rockets at its neighbors would be a booming metropolis of industry and innovation. But no, apparently the Israeli blockade is the problem. Okay, boomer.
Let's get real. The 'blockade' exists because Hamas, the lovely chaps democratically elected to run the place, decided that blowing up civilians was a grand ol' strategy. You reap what you sow, folks. Maybe instead of blaming Israel for everything short of the common cold, they should try, I dunno, not being terrorists for five minutes.
It's always the same song and dance. Israel defends itself, Hamas cries 'oppression', and the usual suspects in the West clutch their pearls and demand Israel do...what, exactly? Let them import more rockets? Fund more terror tunnels?
I'm not saying the average Gazan has it easy. Of course they don't. But blaming Israel for everything is like blaming the police for arresting the bank robber after he shoots up the place. Actions have consequences, and Hamas's actions have made Gaza a poverty-stricken pit.
And before you screech about 'collective punishment', consider this: Hamas uses its own people as human shields. They embed their weapons in civilian areas. They prioritize terror over building a functioning society. They're the ones holding Gaza hostage, not Israel.
So, yeah, the kids are unemployed. Maybe they should stage a coup and install a government that isn't dedicated to wiping Israel off the map. Just a thought.
Look, I get it. Nuance is dead. Hot takes are king. But let's not pretend this is some simple story of innocent victims and evil oppressors. Hamas is a terrorist organization, and they're directly responsible for the mess Gaza is in. End of story.
If Gaza wants a better future, they need to ditch the rockets, embrace peace, and build an economy that isn't based on begging for international handouts. Until then, expect more of the same.
