EU Trade Deal: Coming For Your Weedkiller, Comrade!
The unelected bureaucrats in Brussels are at it again, this time trying to ban glyphosate in the UK under the guise of a 'trade deal'.

Alright, chuds, gather 'round. The globalist elites are back with another scheme to control your lives, and this time it involves your weedkiller. Yep, that's right, the EU, still salty about Brexit, is trying to sneakily ban glyphosate in the UK through this 'trade deal' they're dangling in front of us.
So, what's the deal? Apparently, these Eurocrats banned glyphosate back in 2023 because, you know, 'health concerns.' Never mind that the science is shaky at best, they've decided that YOU, the British farmer, can't be trusted to use this stuff responsibly. Instead, we're supposed to listen to the virtue-signaling eco-terrorists who think we should all go back to subsistence farming.
These 'environmental groups' – the Soil Association, Greenpeace (lol), the Wildlife Trusts – are all wetting their pants at the thought of more regulations. They sent a strongly worded letter to Defra, whining about 'public health' and 'nature.' These are the same people who probably think meat is murder and plastic straws are the root of all evil.
Remember when the World Health Organization classified glyphosate as 'probably carcinogenic'? Yeah, that's been debunked harder than Hillary's emails. But the left never lets facts get in the way of a good narrative. Now there's a bunch of lawsuits in the US from people claiming glyphosate gave them cancer. Coincidence? I think not!
But wait, there's more! These so-called 'experts' are claiming that glyphosate causes genetic damage, oxidative stress, and hormonal disruption. Translation: they made it up in a lab somewhere. They're telling regulatory agencies to treat glyphosate like it's weaponized anthrax. It's called fearmongering, people. Look it up.
Despite all the hysteria, glyphosate is still widely used in the UK. And guess what? We're not all dropping dead. In fact, 41% of UK cereal crops had glyphosate residue between 2016 and 2023, and 28% of bread had it in 2024. And yet, we're all still here, making memes and triggering the libs.
Some lady from the Soil Association says there's no 'safe dose' of glyphosate. That's because she probably drinks organic kombucha and thinks vaccines cause autism. These people live in a different reality. Get this chemical out of our food? Time to cut the virtue signaling from our government.
Defra hasn't said much, but whispers are that changes are coming. Farmers are being warned about new pesticide rules. But don't worry, the EU is still slathering their produce in other pesticides. The European Food Safety Authority says that nearly half the fruits and vegetables in the EU had pesticide residue. Talk about hypocrisy!
