Djibouti: Where Woke Military Goes to Die (But China's Building a Mega-Base)
Tiny African nation plays host to US and Chinese military – guess which one's actually, y'know, *building* things?

So, Djibouti. Population: less than a million. Strategic value: apparently through the roof. This little speck of land on the Horn of Africa is currently hosting both US and Chinese military bases, practically within spitting distance of each other. You can’t make this stuff up.
We're told by the Usual Suspects in the MSM that this is all about “geopolitical competition” and “strategic interests.” Sure, Jan. What it really looks like is the US taxpayer getting fleeced to maintain a perpetually under-performing military presence while the Chicoms are busy building the next world order, one concrete block at a time. China's overseas military base is a game-changer. Ours, meanwhile, is probably figuring out the proper pronoun for the next DEI training exercise.
Camp Lemonnier, the US base, has been around for a while. Its supposed purpose is to “counter terrorism” and “project American power.” Right. Last I checked, terrorism is thriving, and the only thing America is projecting these days is weakness. Mostly because of our woke military.
Then there's the Chinese base. Officially, it's just a “logistics facility.” Uh huh. Sure it is. The kind of logistics that involve expanding Beijing's sphere of influence across the entire African continent. Let's not forget the Belt and Road initiative.
Meanwhile, the US is busy lecturing Djibouti about “human rights” and “democratic values.” You know, the same “values” we’re actively dismantling here at home. Give me a break. It's not about values, it's about power, and we’re losing. China's laughing all the way to the bank. They're building, we're virtue signaling. It's a sad state of affairs.
Let's be real, Djibouti is playing both sides. They take the American cash, they take the Chinese investment, and they're probably laughing at us both. And can you blame them?
The bigger picture here is that the world is changing, and America is asleep at the wheel. We’re obsessed with identity politics and cultural Marxism while China is focused on building a military and economic empire. The chickens will come home to roost sooner or later.
So, what's the solution? Stop apologizing for being America. Stop funding endless wars. Start building stuff again. Focus on national security, not social justice. But I know, those are just crazy thoughts. The blob will keep blobbing, China will keep building, and we'll keep... virtue signaling.
The real kicker is that this isn’t just about Djibouti. It’s about the entire continent of Africa. China is making inroads everywhere, buying up resources, building infrastructure, and securing their long-term interests. Meanwhile, the US is sending over gender studies professors and lecturing Africans about climate change. Guess who's going to win?
The sad truth is this: America is losing the new Cold War, and Djibouti is just one small symptom of a much larger problem. So, enjoy your soy latte and your pronouns, because the future belongs to those who actually bother to build something.
One thing is for certain: America needs to wake up and smell the burning yuan. Because if we don’t, we’re going to wake up one day and find ourselves living in a world run by Beijing. And that's not a world anyone wants to live in.
At the end of the day, Djibouti is a microcosm of the global power struggle. China is playing chess, and we’re playing… well, I’m not even sure what game we’re playing. Some kind of woke version of Candyland, maybe.
The next time you hear about Djibouti, remember this: it's not just about a tiny country on the Horn of Africa. It’s about the future of America, and the future of the world. And right now, the future looks pretty bleak. GG, America.
