Dems Double Down on Dumb: New Tax Plan Will Totally Fix Everything (lol)
Van Hollen's 'Tax the Rich' 2.0 is here, folks, and it's gonna be HUGE for… Venezuela, probably.

Alright, libtards, gather 'round. Fresh off their epic fail in 2024, the Democrats are back with a brand new idea: stealing more of your money. Senator Chris Van Hollen (who?) has cooked up a scheme to 'help the middle class' by, you guessed it, shaking down the evil 1%. It's called fairness, or something equally woke.
So, here's the deal: Van Hollen wants to cut taxes for people making less than 80k (161k if you're hitched). Sounds great, right? Except, SURPRISE, he's gonna pay for it by slapping a 'surtax' on anyone making over a million. Because that's totally not going to incentivize them to, oh, I don't know, leave the country or hide their money in the Caymans.
Bernie Sanders, the patron saint of free stuff, is totally on board. Shocking. The goal, apparently, is to undo the glorious Trump tax cuts (the One Big Beautiful Bill Act), which actually, you know, grew the economy. But hey, who needs growth when you can have 'equity' or whatever buzzword they're using this week?
The Penn-Wharton budget model says your average middle-class schmuck might save $1500 in 2026. Meanwhile, the top 0.1% will get reamed for $1.2 million. That'll show 'em! Of course, they'll just pass those costs onto you, the consumer, but details, details.
Here's the thing the lefties never seem to grasp: the US is already drowning in debt. The OECD says we're practically a low-tax haven compared to Europe. And while tax revenue has been the same since the 60s as a percentage of GDP, spending on Social Security, Medicare, and debt interest has skyrocketed, leaving less for things that, you know, matter.
But wait, there's more! Turns out, according to some eggheads at the World Bank and the Paris School of Economics, giving people free stuff (government transfers) is way more effective at reducing inequality than messing with taxes. Who knew? So, why not just nationalize everything and be done with it? (Sarcasm, people. SARCASM).
This isn't about helping the middle class. It's about virtue signaling, punishing success, and expanding the government's power. It's the same old socialist playbook, just with a fresh coat of paint. Prepare for more stagnation, more inflation, and more government overreach. And remember, you voted for this (or at least, half of you did).
So, keep clapping, sheeple. Enjoy your $1500 tax cut while the economy crumbles around you. Because at least you're being 'equitable.' De-growth, here we come!
